I hate seafood, but love Asian cooking
I just couldn't have fish sauce in my kitchen - the smell is terrible!But I love Asian food, and fish sauce is part of it. This sauce is an excellent substitute.

Tastes like salt water
It was unfortunately unbearable to the taste. It tastes like the salt water I use to gargle for a sore throat. I was really hoping for a savory vegan fish sauce and this is not even close. Awful smell and awful taste. I grew up in a Vietnamese family with traditional fish sauce and this was not even close.

As a vegan you want that seafood flavor. It has that, just what I was looking for.
