A great product to add to dog food with a little liquid to help fight fleas. Make sure you don’t give to dogs who have issues with yeast or stop if they get yeast.

My German Shepherd dog just loves this on top of her food and eats with more gusto than ever! Best is that it is so good for her too w/added nutrients that don't exacerbate her food allergies. It's definitely not like the "human version," which doesn't smell or presumably taste the same--I didn't taste the product myself, but judging from how it smells strongly like beer, I assume it has a lot of flavor, which apparently dogs love--mine does anyway. I just sprinkle the smaller scoop over her food right before serving. Her food typically consists of Rx hydrolyzed protein kibble (for dogs w/allergies), a powdered probiotic, maybe a TBSP fish oil, approximately a serving spoon of canned pumpkin, water, and sometimes things like leftover broccoli or potato. She takes OTC allergy pills, which get dissolved in the water before adding the food. Before we had to put her on presciption food, she was never food-obsessed, but afterward, it seemed like she was always begging for food and became more likely to sneak into the garbage or steal food off unattended plates, if opportunity arose. Now she seems more satisfied w/her food. I can only think it's because the Rx food is rather bland and boring, and the yeast and probably pumpkin, too, make it much more palatable. Especially important, this brewer's yeast provides extra nutrition that doesn't aggravate her allergies--hope this is useful to those w/similar doggie health issues.

Don't write reviews often unless very disappointed or greatly impressed. I am greatly impressed! My dog has never acted so excited even jumping up and down at door...on just the third day (dog weighs 135lbs) when she smells the garlic powder/water I mixed with your Yeast for flea tick prevention. Never seen her drool so much or be this excited!! Going to subscribe cause even my finicky cat is enjoying this tasty tick flea prevention treat as well!

I got this for my dogs after one of them was diagnosed with a grain allergy. The pills had maltodextrin, a corn-based product. I sprinkle this on their food once a day. They both absolutely love the taste! It really seems to help keep fleas and ticks away. It hasn't been a 100% cure but it is noticeable and chemical-free. We double the dose during flea/tick season and cut back in the winter. It takes several weeks (up to 6-8) to get the levels up in their blood, which is why we don't just stop altogether. The container arrived quickly and in good condition and is everything we expected. We will be buying again.

When I first started buying this, this came with a double ended scoop. A small scoop for small dogs and a bigger scoop for bigger dogs. I dug around some and didn't seem to find one.

I purchased this primarily for use with my dogs', to aid with their nutritional and digestive needs. In addition, I bought this product for use in preparing an environmentally and dog-friendly non-toxic flea and tick preventative for them. I received my order within 3-4 days of having placed it and as also pleased at the quantity of brewer's yeast one receives for the price through Animed D, finding it to be the most economical from among that offered by this and other companies I'd looked into.

I'm utterly convinced this has sawdust in it. I'm also convinced there's yeast in it. But why is there sawdust? Yeast doesn't stick together. I can't think of any other reason than it being filler.

I dont like the taste

I was hoping to feed it to my cats to repel fleas, but will now have to use it spareingly because it has iron in it. Iron is not good for cats.
