With the switch from Lightning to USB C my Backbone and GameVice controllers became useless. Both were great but cost about $200 combined. I was reluctant to plunk down another $100 for a new Backbone even though it’s a great controller. I bought the Game Vice after the Backbone because it worked with a case on. This will also work with a case on. It lets me use some of the (way too many) joy cons I have lying around and I’m usually traveling with my Switch (including Joy-Cons). There are cheaper options to do this but I liked the rounded assymetrical grips on this and the ability to use the grips with the switch too (even though you connect via Bluetooth when using with the Switch). So instead of carrying around a Backbone and a Satisfye grip for my Switch when I travel I can just bring this and use it with the iPhone or the Switch. I gave it 4 stars because it’s not rock solid like a Backbone. There is quite a bit of flex because it’s one size fits all. It will do in a pinch though and is going in my backpack when I travel.

Holds phone great. Love the convertible feature to make it a regular controller and a phone grip. Down side is you can’t charge the joycons with it and are reliant on placing them either in a dedicated joycon charger or back onto a switch to recharge your joycon. Otherwise these work great for playing remote play options like steam or Xbox cloud or iOS/android games that support game pads

It's no secret that Joy-Cons aren't the most comfortable controllers over longer gaming sessions, so a solid grip really helps to improve the ergonomics and experience of gaming on Switch. This Proteus not only works as a great grip, but it's the only one I've seen that actually TRANSFORMS for use whether you're playing Switch docked or handheld! The grip is designed asymmetrically too so your right hand is positioned slightly differently than your left, making your thumb's position relative to the analog sticks and the buttons pretty perfect. There's also a bonus way to use this grip, and that's with your phone. You've maybe seen controllers where you slide your phone in the middle, and that's what this does, using Joy-Cons paired to your phone via Bluetooth. Now you can play more than Switch games, you can play Xbox, Steam and mobile games with controller support! There's a TON of functionality with this grip, feels great in the hands and it's built very well. I'd recommend this to anyone who owns a Switch.

This game go troller works great. It is actually just a mount you use with switch controllers but I like its functionality snd the fact you can use it multiple ways snd you can have your phone plugged in when you use it.

ITS A CONTROLLER GRIP - NOT A CONTROLLER

Está muy bien, es un poco endeble, pero hace su función. Lo malo para mí es que yo pensaba usarlo con mi teléfono en modo portrait para emular juegos de NDS, pero mi Galaxy S21 no cabe en medio. Pareciera que tuviera el espacio para algo en medio, pero no es para un teléfono en portrait. Eso sí, acostado el teléfono cabe bien. Una lástima, es un muy buen producto, y todas las reseñas que vi en internet decían que se podía, pero al menos mi teléfono no cabe.

Empiezo esta reseña diciendo que ya había preguntado a los vendedores de este producto si era compatible con el Hori D-Pad Joycon, pero me contestaron los de Mobile Gaming Corps que "no podían confirmar por el momento". ¿Qué es esa respuesta? Eres una compañía que hace estos accesorios y no haces pruebas con un aditamento que justamente ha sido buscado desde el inicio de la consola...? (el D-Pad). Entonces, confirmo que no son compatibles, en la foto que pongo se ve hasta dónde se puede meter el Hori Joycon. Las nuevas versiones de grips de Satisfye y Skull & Co sí son compatibles con este joycon (que es como 2mm más ancho que un original). Y ok, pero aquí está el error fatal de este diseño. Aunque fuera compatible con este joycon de Hori, los grips NO hacen contacto con la consola. Es decir, aunque los "pongas" directo en la consola, no están conectados a la consola. Si usas este grip, todo el tiempo estarán conectados por Bluetooth. Alguien pensaría que si los pones ahí en la consola, reconocería como si los joycon estuvieran conectados directamente en la consola, pues no. No hay una transmisión de datos ni energía para dejar ahí el grip y cargar los joycon. Eso quiere decir que vas a tener que sacarlos, conectarlos a la consola para cargarlos (o en otro cargador), luego volver a ponerlos de nuevo en el grip. ¿Es en serio?. Y ya hablando de eso, aquí por qué es una idea muy buena, pero pésimamente ejecutada. En celular confirmo que si usas iPhone, Android 13/ 14, sí sirven los joycon (pero tienes que ponerlos en un grip para que se reconozcan como un sólo control) con este grip. Pero si usas los joycon como control de celular y también para tu Switch, entonces vas a tener que vincularlos cada vez que cambies, porque como lo mencioné, no hay conexión directa entre el grip y la consola y los joycon. Hay que usar el Bluetooth para celular y volver a emparejar a Switch otra vez. Lo cual "se supone" es una de las funciones primarias que venden aquí. Es decir, no, no voy a estar emparejando cada vez los joycon con el Switch, celular, y otra vez switch, etc. Y ya para terminar, la misma foto con el celular y este grip. Un celular grande no le cabe. Si tienes celular grande, no va a entrar, en la foto se ve que mi Motorola (ni siquiera es un Note, S24 Ultra, o iPhone Ultra Max Turbo II ) no puede entrar hasta la posición central. Y por atrás se ve que se está doblando hacia afuera por la presión. Así que, espero esto le sirva a alguien y piense si realmente les sirve. Hagan una versión 2.0 arreglando todos esos errores de diseño (compatibilidad con Hori Joycon, Pass-through entre grip-consola-joycon, y que el grip de celular sea más grande) y tal vez tendrían un buen producto que sí valga la pena comprar.
