This little strainer is perfect for my matchas! I love it!

Got this to rinse quinoa which is a grain that needs a really fine mesh. It only handles about 1/3 cup which is enough for a single serving, as far as my needs go. That volume does fill it to the brim so washing needs to be done carefully. Filling with only 1/4 lets me use higher water pressure without overflowing the grain. At either 1/3 or 1/4 washing only a tiny few bits went through the mesh, totally acceptable IMO.Regardless of instructions any food prep item I buy online goes into the dishwasher and if it survives, great, if not oh well my loss. But this strainer survived so, yey.I don't do pour over but I placed this onto a cup to see if it stayed balanced and it does so should be good to go for that use.Happy with it so far, actually used it about 10 minutes ago to rinse some brown rice for dinner.

Percolated coffee is a coarse grind, so this works well. I probably should have purchased a finer mesh.

As a bartender, I love having this tool with me. It helps as a secondary strainer to keep ice chunks out of drinks. I've also used this for tea at home and am just as happy with it.

I make tea most mornings by heating water in my 2 cup Pyrex measuring cup in the microwave. I have been using the metal cup style infusers but thought I would try this as I could also see it being useful for pouring through. It fits perfectly in my Pyrex cup and because the handle and front support are angled, it is almost impossible to have it slide off the edge and dump all the tea into the water. I had no large tea pieces make it through the mesh, and the same amount of dust that also gets through my other infuser.I did have slightly more work when cleaning the tea out, a few small pieces had lodged in the fine mesh. A few scrubs with a nylon bristled brush had everything cleared out and ready for the next batch.

I wanted a small strainer to add to my kitchen supplies. I didn't have a specific use for it, but when I came across it, I knew it would come in handy. And it did!Pros:+It's made of good stainless steel. It cleans up well and holds its shape. It is dishwasher safe.+It's small and stores easily in a drawer. The size is perfect for a coffee mug. I used it when my tea infuser came open in my cup and it strained the tea with ease.

I’ve been collecting small strainers like this for filtering the scoby from individual glasses of homemade kombucha. This one, unfortunately, is one of the least impressive I’ve received despite being more expensive than some others. Firstly, it arrived with the shape of the strainer being all banged up and warped out of shape (see my photos). While I was able to fix that, I can’t fix the random wire threads poking out from where they should be tucked under the rim of this thing, making the rim hazardous. Finally, it feels much less sturdy than the others I’ve ordered. I don’t think it’ll spontaneously break or anything, but the lacking quality is disheartening nevertheless. I still like the shape of the strainer once corrected, and I like the little loop opposite the handle’s end, as I can hang this from a hook to drip dry for convenient re-use throughout the day.Overall, this strainer is functional and not an entire disaster, but its state upon arrival was not inspiring, nor is its feel of lacking durability compared to the several others I own.
