Follow the adventures of veterinarian James Herriot in the 1930s Yorkshire Dales, where treating the animals is as much about treating their owners, and the Dales’ farmers are a tough crowd to please. James (Nicholas Ralph) finds a home at Skeldale House, with his chaotic and erratic boss Siegfried Farnon (Samuel West), Siegfried’s wayward brother Tristan (Callum Woodhouse) and shrewd housekeeper Mrs. Hall (Anna Madeley), who endlessly steers the ship.
