I installed the rubber strip today. I found out that the item is sub-par. Some of the adhesive protection was missing when I opened the bag. I cleaned my windshield to make sure there wasn’t residue that would not allow the sticky part to attach to my windshield. After installation I noticed the sticky part of the rubber in several places came loose from my windshield and I fear it will come off and I will spend a couple more hours putting on another strip.

Poor quality adhesive
I cleaned the area around windshield where I wanted this and prepped right. The molding fell the next day. The glue was very weak.
