Targus - 16” Motor Laptop Backpack - Durable Water Resistant Material - Pack for Business, Travel, Professional Commute - Back Padding Support, Black - TSB194US

OK, when I was choosing through a list of backpacks, this made the top 5 list along with other Targus styles (grove-dint like the zipper, ascend-dint like the outer compartment, brilliance-equally awesome.., and sport- too big). Compared to the other styles, this one does lack padding on the shoulder straps and the back. This does not bother me as the price was within my budget as a grad student. However, for those who value their laptop, I highly recommend purchasing a 'THIN and SNUG' sleeve for added padding(there's a $1000 equipment inside!! errrrrr duhhh), as I felt uneasy with the limited padding on the back and my old sleeve was just too big to crunch into its compartment. .Fits ideally for my 15.6" enclosed in a Etekcity Reversable Neoprene sleeve I bought for $6. The laptop compartment is located in the the back and has a thin padding with velcro to secure it (i dont use it and you have to pull the top back to access it. It is in the largest compartment big enough to fit 2 binders (2+1"), 1-2 text depending on size, couple folders and a big headphone. The middle compartment is smaller and can hold 1 binder/book. I put my camera, comp. charger, mouse and has slots for cards and other smaller items in this. The third compartment(outermost) is much much smaller. Can hold couple pens, phone charger, keys, gum, candies. Despite the limited padding, its very comfortable!! I like this much better than my old swiss... If you need more cargo space than that mentioned above, I recommend going with the ' Targus -sport'. My previous Swiss gear was just too thick and too many compartments for my need. Despite the seemingly high quality of the swiss, the shoulder strapp began to rip and had to 'Ghetto Sew" it back together. I said enough and bought this one. Pro: Light, sturdy, comfortable, compact, stylish, and cheap. Fits 15.6" laptop w/ sleeve perfectly, elevated laptop compartment so it wont hit the ground if books or binders are inside. The yellow targus logo is subtle adding accent to the design. Higher quality than other brands. Lets see how long this will last. (so far 3 month of use). Con: the laptop compartment lack some padding on the back surface (the side touching your back). So far, happy with the purchase and highly recommend. Thinking of buying one for my girl.

I have had a laptop by this company for about ten years and was very surprised when I found they are still making top quality products. The older bag has been a carryon a hiking pack for short hikes. Even our kids have used it at one time or another and it still looks great. Build quality is as good as the old one. Which really impressed me. They haven't cheapened their product to maximize profit and ruin a great product.

I really liked this Targus backpack once I got it on my hands. The design, the easiness of the zipper, the pockets, the internal space, the softness of the material, the colors, you name it. Everything is of a good quality. I wonder if it will be rain resistant. The only feature that I miss is some material rubber material that It doesn't not have in the handlers. When you use it in one shoulder the handlers slips a lot so I have to grab it and hold it again on my shoulder. Please, add a rubber thing to theses parts

Confortable and with enough space for other stuff beside the laptop. My computer fits perfect (16 inchs). It was many other pockects for small items. Highly reccomended.

I ordered this backpack so that I could have an all-in-one bag for my school books, a padded section for my laptop and personal items if needed. I ordered this and couldn't be more satisfied. It is actually much larger than it appears in the photo. When I took it out of the box I was a little concerned that the main opening was too small, but my 15" laptop slid right in with no problem. I could also fit 2 full 1-inch binders and a textbook that is at least 2.5 - 3 inches thick with plenty of room to spare. With it full everything is also very easy to take out. No pulling and tugging necessary. The straps are very wide and comfortable on my back relieving a lot of strain that backpacks can cause. There are several other storage areas for credit cards, pens, cell phones, water bottles and more. It is very well made and sturdy. All in all, I am happy with my purchase.

I love this thing. My old jansport I was using to travel with started to get misshapen and crazy looking so I got this. I do a LOT of traveling and use this as my “personal item” on flights. I am able to fit an insane amount of stuff in here including my laptop and power cord. There are enough compartments and pockets for all the little doodads you need for a flight. And before a flight I throw my little purse into it too. Love Targus products and the warranty!

i love this backpack coz i used the same brand backpack for 10 years at that time i bought it from Walmart and it was on special offers

So far so good. Fits my 15.6" computer snugly; the padding around it seems sufficient for my needs. I have only had it for a couple weeks but no problems so far. I will update this review if that changes.
