Does everything it promises and is a cheaper alternative to component cables
I have to say that this product does exactly what it is created to do, allows you to play your Gamecube at 480p without having to buy $250+ official Nintendo component cables. It also features line doubling which is set on by default but can be turned off in the settings which helps games that don't feature progressive scan and only run in 480i. I am currently using the system on a 4k HDtv and as long as you know that this is only allowing games to run in progressive scan mode and not an actual upscaler, you will not be disappointed.I did run into some issues getting IR remotes to connect to the device so I could mess with some of its built in settings such as scan lines, resolution modes, etc. but the manufacture got back to me extremely quick after emailing them and they recommended switching your IR remote to blu-ray/DVD mode and once I tried that it worked with no problems at all. They also recommended a specific IR remote that they use and works for sure for people who don't own one plus it is pretty cheap. I've linked it to my review. I found their customer service to be great and I'm very pleased with the quality of this product GE 34459 6-Device Universal Remote Control, Black

This is for the modern gamecube enthusiast
It looks great at 480p even on my large 4K screen. The gameboy player even without homebrew looks fantastic and keeps the original aspect ratio. The price is very high but you are investing on quality and a strong build delivered quickly

A must buy for the GameCube retro gamer
I bought this because I wanted a great picture and the price is still cheaper than component cables. If you want to play on a modern tv this is the way to go. There are alternative hdmi by zeldaxpro but you gonna wait a long time for those. This product is solid and gives you options to change settings. I like crisp picture and this delivers.

it let me dust off my old GCN and breathe serious life back into this amazing little console
I haven't been this excited about a product in a long time, it let me dust off my old GCN and breathe serious life back into this amazing little console. The adapter does exactly what its supposed to do, enable the digital out on your cube to get that 480p look that was only obtainable through the ridiculous expensive component cable. There is even an option to hook up a IR remote to access scanlines. I did not have to force this in like other reviews explained on Ytube, though I did still hear a slight click, "maybe EON has changed or shaved a bit of plastic on the newer batches" Overall this is exactly what I wanted for my GCN and I can proudly display it again. 150.00 is a bit steep, but for that original hardware experience to me its worth it.

You get what you pay for. An Enthusiasts upgrade.
Being a Gamecube enthusiast and wanting the most out of what my system can do, I watched various reviews and read some that led me to buy this product. I saw more reviews were good than bad, so I decided to have my go around with it and I must say, the results make it worth it to me. I understand some are put off by the cost, which is considerably high, but it seemed like a chance worth taking and I'm glad I took that chance. My Gamecube games now have a new life with how brilliant it looks on my TV. If you are a Gamecube enthusiast and don't mind spending the money to upgrade your system, I would recommend based on my experience with it thus far. I still haven't tried it with the Gameboy player but I've heard it's fantastic with the GCHD. I would put up pictures but the product looks pretty much the same as in the picture, and a picture of the game might not do it justice. Youtube has videos that can better present the HD footage, but if you are interested in this adapter I imagine you have already done some research on it.I had also researched some of the options such as the official component cables but those are practically worth twice as much as this adapter, and I read and watched videos about some other adapters, but I saw more people complaining that they were still waiting on their orders, seller not being direct in communication, etc. The price might have been cheaper but it seemed like a bigger gamble, and I prefer to buy on Amazon personally since they protect the costumers pretty well. One thing I'd like to add is I read/heard many people had trouble jamming it into the system but I didn't have much of a problem with it, it actually snapped in much faster than I thought it would. That's just my experience though and others might experience it differently.

Very disappointing!
I loved this adapter when I first got it. But within a few months, it started to lose picture. I found that I'd have to wiggle the dongle around in order to get the picture to come back. Upon further inspection, it almost seems like the plastic molding is kind of warped on the plug and maybe it started to get worse over time and lose proper connection.I really, really liked this thing when it worked, because when it works, it works amazing. But at $150, this is just so disappointing. And at this point, I'm sure I'm out or luck in getting any kind of a replacement. If you want an HDMI adapter, Google 'Carby HDMI adapter' by Insurrection Industries. It uses an adapter housing that's metal like the official component cables. It's also only $80. It functions identical to the EON adapter at a fraction of the price and works phenomenal!I'd strongly recommend avoiding the EON, unless they've revised their manufacturing process since I received mine back in 2018.
