AccuPower IQ328+ High-Tech Charger

I searched high and wide for a 4 port safe battery charger that had a standard 3 pin plug for my other half. I get why manufacturers favour usb, it is something most, of not all people have access to- a USB charger, all that needs to go in the box is a lead rather than make a plug to fit whatever country the item is to be sold in. I was also concerned about the high number of counterfeit chargers on the market. When I saw this listing I checked the manufacturers website, with a little help from Google translate! I also read many reviews for the previous model to this and was very impressed by all I saw. The manufacturers, though maybe not well known to many in the UK have a great reputation on the continent and in the US. Once I got the item here I saw I was correct in my choice. A charger that charges many types of battery, each channel can be individually programmed and has an easy to read LCD display. The instructions were easy to follow even though the translation from German wasn't perfect. I mention this as often we worry about items that come with instructions that are written in less than perfect English but there are no such concerns here at all. The plug is safe and UK compliant, the unit itself seems very well built. By way of a test we did a complete discharge then recharge of a 18650 battery at a charge rate of 500 mAmps and it took only 4 hours. 4 batteries can be charged at once if need be which suits him as his time for such things is limited. It has few buttons and is sensibly, cleverly and intuitively laid out. There are various pieces diagnostic information provided by the display too. Other half is delighted with it, we know there are cheaper chargers on the market but after a couple of days we are convinced it was worth every penny of the price we paid.

I got it because it charges NiCd, NiMH and Li-Ion batteries and because it has three different programs, normal charge, fast test, where it fully discharges then charges the battery and normal test where it charges, discharges then charges. Each of four batteries can be programmed separately and the charging current for each battery can be selected separately from 300, 500, 700 or 1000mA.Although it doesn't advertise it, it does seem to revive very flat batteries, I had one that didn't activate the display when inserted but when left in the slot did proceed to charge later. It doesn't seem to keep batteries left in it topped up, once the charge cycle comes to an end it the capacity in mAh doesn't seem to change.

I have had this charger for sometime now, I use it every day, and so far it has proved to be extremely reliable.It has a quality field, and was not particularly expensive.Great!

Very clever item. Keeps by batteries in good condition

Had previous 328 model and this didn't last that long (less than 2 years). Hope this does better. This new model takes all sorts of cells including Li-ion batts and this is my biggest concern, AA batts don't fit that well and it is a bit fussy about how you insert them. As a result I switch it on, then carefully insert each battery sequentially then you can be sure each is detected and charge as the display shows all the values for each slot of the 4, as you insert them. Note initially it does say null for a handful of seconds until each cell is detected. Other than that it seems ok, cell resistance is stated as mR assume this is cos the display cannot show milli-Ohms symbol? That is forgivable. Backlight is good and switches on when you press the 1-4 cell identification buttons. Terminology isn't great e.g. "fast test" actually means "discharge then charge" but other than that the unit seems easy to use and reasonably logical. Overall far better than the previous model..... as long as it lasts longer!!!

The only smart charger that shows a battery's internal resistance as well as the voltage and current.

Very flexible and above all accurate but not perfect:1.Default charge rate usually 500mAh but can set bays individually.2.Charge rate is changed 'en masse' by pressing the current button for the most recent bay accessed during first few seconds while the word 'charge' on the display is still blinking >>note: still pays to double-check that this has actually happened!!3.Charge rate can be changed mid way by pressing and holding the mode button until the word 'charge' blinks and then pressing the current button to select the desired rate of charge.4.Display shows detailed information but only for one bay at a time.5.Only indication of test cycle changing state is readout (i.e from discharge to charge in 'Normal Test' mode the only change is an increase in the voltage readout), although not vital I found this surprisingly annoying6.AAA's fit fine.7.Charger unit is relatively light compared to its power cord and can be dragged overboard!

Buscaba un cargador de pilas sueltas que me proporcionase un buen control, y seguridad.Este cargador lo hace con nota muy alta, y a un nivel mejor que otros cargadores más "famosos" de Amazon.Solo le veo dos posibles pegas:- El transformador en el enchufe, aunque tiene un tamaño generoso, no da sensación de robustez.- Que no pueda cargar/descargar en un rango con más escalones. Por ejemplo, me gustaría cargar las AAA a 100 mA, pero el escalón más inferior es a 300 mA.Por lo demás, carga/descarga/comprueba excelentemente, indica la resistencia de la pila (lo cual puede ser indicativo o no de posibles problemas con un determinado elemento) y permite un monitoreo visual bastante decente.Pero, por este precio, debería de proporcionar vía USB los datos y gráficas de carga/descarga para un análisis mejorado de los procesos.En conclusión, bueno, bonito, pero no barato.

Nach der ca. 6. Ladung meiner Akkus gab es direkt nach dem einschalten einen Knall und das Netzteil ist zerschossen... ich weiß nicht ob noch mehr kaputt ist weil ich kein anderes Netzteil zur Verfügung habe... bei dem Preis dachte ich etwas ordentliches gekauft zu haben aber scheinbar war dem nicht so Schade.
