Field Compost Ltd Vegetable Planting Topsoil (Huge 1000L bulk bag!!)

This is the second order we've made with Chris (Mister Compost) so I guess that says a lot. He quickly followed up our order with a call to check on the delivery and talk us through the options, even advised us on how much soil conditioner we needed vs. topsoil for our conditions. He certainly knows his subject. Orders are sent out/confirmed on wednesdays (the day we ordered) so we even got delivery on the Friday. The soil arrives via a very large lorry, on palettes, a ton of soil in each bag. The soil conditioner they sell, is very fine with a very low peat content. This will help break up heavy clay soils. The topsoil has a higher peat content, more particulates. We used a layer of 2-3 inches of each. Buying this way is definitely more economical than small bags from the garden centre. I read several reviews of providers before ordering, as quality was my main concern. I can definitely confirm the quality of the soil from Mister Compost, we've been very happy. Fair amount of work but plants and lawn are loving it.

I found sticks, glass, small plastic balls, stones and lumps of clay...Would I buy again? NOWhich leads me to doubt previous reviews..The customer service was great in responding when I asked about the delivery.

From start to finish the buying process went completely problem free. Mr Compost is a company I would recommend without hesitation. The product itself - top soil for veg - is very,very good. Best top soil I have ever bought and, again, I would recommend without reservation. Delivery guy was brilliant and went the extra mile to get my delivery close to where I needed it. He suggested enlisting a neighbour to help, so between the three of us we were able to get the pallet trolley up our (very) steep drive. Can't praise him enough. Great product, great company - can't go wrong.

Excellent quality soil and the seller called me to arrange delivery

Have purchase top soil from Travis Perkins before and the quality and quantity of this product is far superior. Only negative is that it arrives on a pallet and you then have to wheelbarrow the soul to the location you need it. But this is very clear on the purchase instructions. Product also arrived quicker than most Amazon Prime products!

I’m happy with the quality of the soil but not happy at all with the delivery. As you can see from the picture I was left with 600 kg(according to the driver) of soil in the street!!! The driver said he can’t mount the kerb with the forklift he was having nor he even tried with the lorry!! Not a happy customer! I had to carry it in my garrage bit by bit with a wheelbarrow!

I've been told it will be a crane to deliver the soil, but the driver didn't want to try to lift soil to the inside the garden.

Fantastic topsoil and great value in such a huge bag. Good quality, no weeds or other foreign matter. Used to fill my raised beds and veg growing at a fantastic rate.
