High-Speed, Durable iDiskk 256GB SSD Flash Drive: A Solid Choice with a Premium Price Tag
I recently purchased the iDiskk 256GB Solid State USB Flash Drive and I'm overall quite impressed, leading me to rate it 4 out of 5 stars.Starting with the positives, the design of this flash drive is truly top-notch. It boasts a sleek, metallic body that not only gives it a premium feel but also adds a level of durability. The zinc alloy material enhances its shock resistance, which is a reassuring feature for anyone who values the safety of their data. It’s evident that the design was thoughtfully crafted, keeping both aesthetics and functionality in mind. The performance of this flash drive is where it truly shines. The USB3.2 Gen 2 technology ensures incredibly fast data transfer speeds, clocking in at around 1000MB/s for both read and write operations. This speed is a game-changer, especially when transferring large files or performing frequent backups. It's remarkably faster than standard USB3.0 drives, which makes a significant difference in everyday use. Moreover, the drive's wide compatibility with various devices including USB-C Android phones, iPads with Type-C ports, laptops, MacBooks, and tablets, enhances its versatility. The plug-and-play feature, eliminating the need for additional cables or apps, further adds to the convenience of using this drive. However, there’s a notable downside to this product – its price. The iDiskk 256GB SSD Flash Drive comes with a premium price tag, which might be a deterrent for some potential buyers. While the high-speed performance and robust design justify the cost to an extent, it still remains an investment compared to other options on the market. In conclusion, if you’re looking for a high-performance, durable, and elegantly designed flash drive and are willing to pay a premium price, the iDiskk 256GB Solid State USB Flash Drive is an excellent choice. It effectively blends speed, functionality, and style, making it a solid addition to your tech arsenal. Despite the cost, its performance and build quality make it a worthy investment for those who prioritize data transfer speed and reliability.

Good performance... Very expensive for a 128GB Pen/Flash Drive.
Quite a good looking drive.. Used in a USB C and USB A 10gbps port , no difference in speeds. Tried it in a standard USB 3.1 port 5gbps , speeds slightly lower but still good I think. Photo's attached.Used CrystalDiskMark 8.xx to test and others. Around 562MB/s read , 507MB/s write. Bit slower on USB 3.1 port Gen 1 5gbps.Very expensive for a 128GB flash drive..Around £32.40 with discount.Photo's attached for an AXE Speedy+ 500GB drive , just over £40 at the moment. With a USB A port.A Kingston DataTraveler Max 256GB with a USB C port , around £30 at the moment. Both quicker. But this drive has both a C and an A port. The Kingston you can get one with an A port ( £25 at the moment ). Don't think you can get the AXE drive with a C port.

Fast and Fabulous
Before being sent this Flash drive for review, I hadn't heard of iDiskk - but working in IT, I am very aware of scam drives that falsely advertise their potential. So when I saw the specs of this, I read it with some scepticism. And so before making any conclusions, I ran a number of tests, and to save you reading further, the tests show that this is an amazing USB flash drive. So much better than any USB flash drive I have had before. To test, I first I ran CrystalDiskMark to query the speed of the drive, plugging it into the USB3.2 ports at the back of my PC (direct off the motherboard, to ensure the highest speed). As you can see from my screenshot, CrystalDiskMark achieved a benchmark of 1033.77MB/s on its first test. I tried this test with a 64Mb/1Gb and 8Gb test size and they all showed similar results.Next, I transferred over 400Gb of files - and it did not take long! The peak speed that i noted in this real world test was 624Mb/s, when I was copying large files. Check out that screenshot - it took 90 seconds to transfer 50Gb of files. In copies containing lots of small files, I did notice the speed drop, and in one copy of over 75Gb, i noticed a slowdown at 55Gb - but these events are just as likely caused by the drive I was copying from. Finally, to check for 'fake memory, I had been copying images throughout this process. I checked back and all images I checked, from every part of the process, were readable, and in lightning time.Apart from being a blisteringly fast drive, this is also a nicely made one. The construction feels premium. The case appears to be machined aluminium, anodised in a nice grey.
