My grandson fell in love with the folk stories of selkies but trying to find a stuffed seal that looked realistic was a challenge. This meets that expectation, but also has the removable "selkie skin"!The pillow is kind of like the squish mellow style stuffed toys that are popular, it has a very soft silky exterior material and the stuffing is almost like a memory foam type that is huggable but retains its shape.Easy to wash off, although I have not put it through the washing machine, just wiped it off with a wet wipe.The details of the eyes and mouth and fins, everything is so accurate and beautifully done.Fantastic purchase.

Got this for my dog, who has no teeth and does not chew things; he just likes to have a sleeping buddy when his sister gets annoyed and chooses another bed. (Please note this isn’t a dog toy and absolutely would not hold up to a dog with teeth—that would quickly create an unsafe stuffing situation). This is softer than the actual dog toys I have, so he likes to curl up next to this more than he does his other toys. Totally worth the price. Would be a great gift for the kid, adult, or toothless little dog in your life.

WOW! what a fun, cozy critter. Arrived just as described. The removable coat is SO SOFT. The plush is similar to that of a squishmallow. Overall size and quality is good. I purchased this as a gift for a student who needed a little extra something while at school and loves SEALS! The student enjoys having a companion while traveling class to class. I would definitely buy again especially at the affordable $10 price tag.
