V3 Lavender Purple Pro Keyboard Switch with Dustproof Stem for Mechanical Gaming Keyboard, 5-Pin Tactile Switches Pre-Lubed Switch (45pcs)

I love the feel and sound of these switches. The weight is nice and low, I can type for hours. Nearly silent for not being a "silent" tactile. I love that the actuation point it right at the end of the tactile bump, feels very responsive. I've ordered these twice. First time they came in a plastic clam shell in a box which was much nicer than other brands just sending them in a bag or tube. Second time however, the plastic clam shell came inside a snazzy hard case! My only real gripe is that the stems have the box around them, which makes using o-rings for dampening less effective and makes the grip on the key caps so strong I sometimes pull the switch along with the key cap. And as much as I love the purple, a cream base / clear top would be nice for RGB reasons.

I own more aggresive and premium tactile switches like Boba U4Ts and Gateron Quinns, but these Lavender Purple Pro switches hold up their own against their more expensive brothers! Despite being quite light and easy to actuate, they remain really bouncy and retain a lively tactility without working against you. They kind make my keyboard sound and feel like popcorn popping, which I find delightful. They can be a little loud, so might not be appropriate for those who need to maintain quiet noise level. Additionally, I found that compared to many of my other switches, which sometimes sit in the sockets a little too snug when I want to change them, these are very easy to pop in and out of my keyboard without having to fight or apply too much pressure. If I ever have any friends or beginners in the hobby ask me for switch recommendations, I'd definitely mention the Lavender Purple Pros as a part of my shortlist.

I've used both the V3 Cream Blue Pros and now the Lavender Purples and man are the purples awesome for the price. They are lower in pitch then the Cream Blue Pros while having the same smooth tactile bump. The lube job is great and every switch feels great to type on. I've got them on a leobog hi75 and this is the first time I've achieved true marble on a keyboard, the sound is just extraordinary. Of course your mileage will vary depending on the board you use but all in all I think this is a great switch that can fit well on any board. Edit: Honestly I've come a long way into the custom keyboard hobby and bought many boards and switches and I have to show a little more appreciation for how great the lavender purples are. Till this day they stand out as a well lubed, comfortable, and affordable switch option that can fit into any build. It's no surprise why they've withstood the test of time. Just an all around great option.

Very nice feeling switches. I replaced the reds in my office keyboards with these and have definitely improved not only my accuracy but my speed as well, since the tactile bump lets me know when a key has been actuated.

I've been using these for a couple days and enjoying them! Background on my set-up and usage: I'm using them on an Epomaker TH80 SE 75% keyboard with Epomaker MDA (somewhat similar to SA but not as tall) profile PBT dye-sublimation keycaps. The keyboard came with Bluebird linear switches (Actuation force: 47±5gf, Initial force: 35gf min) and I wanted to try tactiles on a budget, so went with these after comparing a bunch. I type a lot for my work and hobbies (and according to a quick speed test, with this set-up, at around 98wpm and 99% accuracy). Pros of these switches: -I love the sound! They're the slightest bit thockier than the linear switches I was using, especially paired with the PBT MDA keycaps. -I really like how they feel! They have a sort of "pop" to them and the catch provides just enough tactile feedback to decrease accidental keypresses but so far without becoming super tiring to use. I definitely have had fewer issues with bumping another key and accidentally depressing it, so that's a win for me. So far, I enjoy typing on them. -Installed easily -Come packaged well! I've seen some budget switches with reviews that said they came loose in a bag. These came in hard plastic packaging top and bottom with each switch neatly in its own slot. -No bent pins -I'm just using the factory lube. I haven't tried lubing any switches myself yet, so I can't compare, but these feel fine to me. Cons, and why I took off a star: -The little...locking tabs? On the north and south of the switches are/were too narrow. The switches don't make much of a "click" as they are inserted, which was what clued me in that something was off, and I looked closer and realized the locking tabs (or whatever they are called) were flush with or narrower than the base of the switch. I tested, and sure enough, they weren't locking in place well (and the fit of the stems with the keycaps are tight) so pulling off a keycap takes the whole switch with it. Why I'm okay enough with this that I'm continuing to use them: 1) It doesn't seem to affect typing itself and I don't plan on changing the keycaps regularly or even soon 2) I experimented with a few and using tweezers, I was able to pry the tabs so they were angled outward and successfully got a few switches to lock in place and not come out when I pulled the keycaps. However, this was kind of tedious, so I didn't bother doing it with all of them (see point 1). I'd recommend these, at the very least for a cheap beginner and fairly lightweight tactile, unless the improper locking issue is going to be a major problem for you.

There's nothing to dislike about these switches. Their tactile feel, actuation point and bottom-out distant are perfect. Not to mention, they sound great, too. They have a nice, deeper tone to them, which is what convinced me to purchase these Lavender Purple Pro switches as opposed to the Blue Pro switches. They're fantastic to type on and all the switches came perfectly packaged and none of them were damaged or had any bent pins. I know Boba UT4s and Holy Pandas are all the rave, but frankly I prefer these to both of those, with DUROCK POM T1 Sunflowers probably being my all-time favorite switch edging these out slightly because I'm a heavy typist and the Sunflowers definitely have much more noticeable feedback and tactile feel, but those certainly are not switches for everyone. All-in-all, these are just great switches all around. Great feel, great sound, and great experience when using them. If you're looking for some excellent tactile switches, I highly recommend these Akko V3 Lavender Purple Pro switches.

Can I just be honest with you? Yeah! You appreciate that from a stranger on the interwebs...right? Okay, I'll try to keep it brief... === === === === === === === === === === [BLUF] I. Do. Not. Understand. The. Hype! [Quick Qualifying Backstory - feel free to skip this section] Look, I am definitely well immersed in the hobby, but I guess I would not call myself an expert, since I have not made the leap to assembling a board from scratch. I got into this hobby because I realized at my advanced age (late 30s) that I could increase my productivity if I could just finally learn to touch type. I have made great strides, but it was because I started with clicky switches and progressed to tactiles (to give the my co-workers an audible reprieve at work). But that's precisely why I think you should trust my opinion. Tryubg board, and making upgrades in the form of switches and keycaps (form factor, flair, & feel) are exactly where I focus my efforts. So what about these? Well... [Feel] In terms of feel. These are smooth. Yes, the lubrication is quite good and consistent across all switches. They also feel nice and stable with both tall and standard keycaps. The travel seems pretty consistent, but I also don't really have sensitive fingers, so I tend to only notice travel when it is shorter than usual...so take that with a grain of salt. So, then why the mediocre rating? Well... [Tactility] Having a pronounced tactile wall is everything to prevent accidental keypresses (for me), but despite the videos and all the rave reviews, the tactile bump on these are underwhelming. To be fair, they aren't the worst, but they are certainly toward the bottom of the pile of switches I have used to date... which is somewhat comprehensive at this point. In fact, I have another set of tactiles from the same company in the board I am using to write this very review (Akko Butterscotch - you're welcome) that I think provide an INFINATELY BETTER experience. [Appearance] Who CARES???? Unless you have a transparent keyboard (which I also tried these in), you aren't going to see them. If you do have a transparent board, these will dim the RGB somewhat. If you have transparent keycaps, they will be distracting at best, and if the keycaps are tinted, the end color of the light you see will be distorted. Additionally, if you use different switches in different zones (for instance, I like a HEAVY linear in the FN, CTRL row so I do not accidently initiate an unwanted command prompt, and I always use a clicky switch for CAPS LOCK and INSERT so I am alerted before having to go back and Ctrl-Z everything and start over--IYKYK), it will look like garbage under transparent keycaps - which again, is the only instance you would care about appearance in actual use... === === === === === === === === === === [Bottom line] If you want want I can only describe as a buttery smooth light tactile, these are probably a very good option for you. And I guess if gaming is your thing, then these would make much better sense if you wanted to stick with a tactile over a linear offering. However, if you want a good typing switch, skip these and go with something else with a crisper break, and perhaps a heavier spring depending on your typing style. I hope that helps; happy typing!

I wanted a thocky sound to my keyboard but I was finding that my last switches would depress to easily. Like, I would naturally rest my hands on the keyboard and be pressing a key. I ordered these while doing research for the correct sound and actuation force and I’ve been so pleased with them. I like the color, but I can’t see the color once installed anyway. This was a great price, sounds great, and feels sturdy.
