Fun kit and my grandchild loved discovering the gemstones.

my 5 year old twin grandsons loved this! I got one for each of them and they had a blast digging out and cleaning the gems. They pretended they were archeologists. Highly recommend.

This was a gift and the child loved it. They did get frustrated eventually though because it can take a long time to get the rocks out. An impatient child will want adult help to break it apart faster. I'd suggest it for patient kids or rock lovers. It's a cool well made product.

My son LOVES rocks and had so much fun digging up and finding the rocks. I do have to say that I was a little disappointed by the rocks though because they were definitely not as in the picture on the box. Some of them were very small and some didn’t even really look like one of the samples. But my son still had fun, so I’d rate it 4 stars

I was pleasantly surprised… My grandchildren loved this! They spent hours trying to get the little jewels out of the rocks. And in the process, they learned about the rocks and the jewels. In fact, they liked it so much that they ordered another one for the next child down the line

My seven year old son LOVED this. We have never had a kit like this before but he played with this for over an hour the first night, which is unprecedented for him! It is a bit messy - dusty mostly, but nothing that won't clean up easily. Honestly it is so fun I would like to do one myself. It's really satisfying. I did worry a little bit about all the dust he was breathing in, as he has breathing issues but he was okay with wearing a mask.

The media could not be loaded. This was a surprisingly great activity. I have had bad experiences with dig activities in the past where sand or mud or charcoal dust gets all over the place. I laid out a big piece of poster board and put the item on top. With a little bit of water you can really easily dig these out and there was much less mess. My daughter is just under 7 years old and was able to do it all by herself. She loves the gemstones and put them in a little sack, which she took to school to show all her friends! She said all of them thought the gemstones were so cool! This is very giftable. It is not going to occupy your kid for a long period of time, but they will feel a sense of accomplishment upon pulling out each gemstone.
