Q: Does it have a timer or can u leave it on all night?

You don’t want to use a timer. I’m a die hard Packer fan and if it’s power cycled it cycles through colors. Red blue green. Why I have no idea. I leave on GREEN!

Q: Does this lamp have a cord that plugs into a wall socket or do you need a computer/TV to make it work?

It did not come with a wall socket but you could easily plug it into a phone charger and plug it into the wall. We have it plugged in to our TV. I also believe that it takes batteries.
