Our original one snapped off and needed a new. Bought a different brand and it lasted 1 month. This one is made well and still going strong.

The parts arrived quickly and they were easy to use. I was able to convert the side that actually drives the mechanism to be a left side or right side part and that was really nice. Once I put it together it’s been working ever since really like the metal turning wheel instead of the previous plastic, which broke

Many of the reviews stated that the loop on these brackets was made of metal. I ordered specifically to replace plastic loops that had failed from the Arizona sun. The bracket I received had a plastic crank loop. It will work but it's unknown how long it will last.

We've loved our Coolaroo blind and it is greatly reduced the heat from a large pain window that gets direct morning sunlight. We were extremely disappointed that something that was going to be in direct sunlight would have a plastic crank ball for opening and closing the shade. This replacement has been outstanding with its metal opening crank. Coolaroo would be smart to use these on their product as I would think of them as a much more reputable company if they didn't have a plastic crank that breaks quickly and can really tear up your hands if you have to manually open the shade.
