Is the outer part of the case soft or hard?

The outer part of the case is soft cause it has a rubbery feel to it.

I peeled off the rubber exterior case, but don't know how to get the inner plastic case open so I can insert phone??? No directions! Help!

You might have already figured it out but around the edges there is little latches that clip you have to use brute force to open them lol this was my only complaint about the case

Is the cover purple? It looks blue.

The hard base is blue the protective shell is purple
