I was fortunate enough to buy this item when it was on special offer, but it's worth every penny of the current price. So much so that when I spied it on offer again recently, I bought a second for when my current one gives up the ghost. Yes, it's that good!Compared to other air fryers I've tried, the Vortex simply cooks food faster and better.Having used it for over a year now, it's still going strong with no sign of any wear to the non-stick coatings (it has been looked after - no dishwashers, no scourers, soaking rather than scrubbing etc), and the only "wear" is where I dropped the fully loaded drawer on the floor and a small part of the plastic handle broke off. It made a right mess of the floor, but only slight cosmetic damage to the Vortex.Things I like about it - it's pretty simple to use - set the temp on one side and the time on the other. There's presets but I've never touched them.You can throw food in from cold, or follow the instructions and wait for it to heat up at which point it tells you to add food. It also tells you when to turn food over, although if you ignore this it carries on cooking it anyway.Smoke/steam/heat is all well contained. The fryer lives under cupboards and there's only minimal grease on the underside of the cupboards from 12 months of use.While there are bigger air-fryers now, I consider that if you need anything larger than the Vortex, it's probably better to use a good fan oven. This air fryer for me is the perfect size for couples or small families.Highly recommended!

I love everything about this air fryer. Just before I took it out of the box I watched a review on youtube about air fryers being the best marketing scam ever because in fact they are just fan ovens! My heart sank because I have two fan ovens and why would I need another one. Anyway I set it up on the worktop and started to use it for various things... chips (great and quick), grilling much cleaner, roast pots etc. I am now SO glad I purchased it. It is only my husband and I - I mostly always cook & don't do ready meals and I do need my two big ovens sometimes, but not often these days. Yes, it is just a little oven but I now love it. for larger meals and company yes I will need more space, but what a great 'add on' at christmas. I did a lot of research and decided I didn't want one of those pull out drawer things. This is great as you get two shelves and a drip tray at the bottom. It is so easy to keep clean and it looks very smart. It is very very easy to use. Why would you need a recipe book - use it just like you would an oven. The clear glass door is good for keeping an eye on things. They do make a bit of a noise, but when you have finished you just press cancel and it turns off. I bought I small chicken and i am going to try and rotisserie at the weekend but I am sure it won't disappoint. If like me you are undecided, think no more - this is the one! It looks good too. Likely to stay my favourite appliance for a while. Love It!! Love it!!

It's the best airfryer I've ever owned. It cooks so well in such little time. It keeps my food warm for very long has a glass front which enables you to see the food without pulling out the baskets. And also extremely user-friendly.The functions are awesome, it comes with enough settings to cook a variety of foods. It also encourages me to cook healthy meals at home because it's convenient, quick and easy to clean.

Our 1st air fryer bought to replace our electric cooker to free up space for a tumble dryer in small kitchen. Chose this one for being dual control or single drawer as required so will cook a standard-sized pizza. Have been mostly air frying bacon, rissoles & veggy bakes so nothing ambitious - yet. The next challenge will be a spatchcock chicken with roast potatoes & veg then my wife will bake cakes.This air fryer is pretty simple to operate: press the centre control twice & it alternates from single to dual controls. All the other controls are touch sensitive so the panel is smooth therefore easy to clean. You select the function that defaults to Air Fryer then select Time or Temp then rotate to change. A minor quibble is the rotary control is linear rather than being rate-sensitive so can take a while to get to the required setting.The centre divider pulls up but do so gently otherwise the silicone corner pieces need reseating. The base plate has silicone feet & to hinging metal hoops in the middle of either side - removing it will give an extra 8mm of depth. To set each side independently, you press the “1” or “2” button then set as before but you can then choose to duplicate the other side's settings or set one independently then sync so they finish together. There's no auto-sensing with this model unlike the more expensive Ninja equivalent but is excellent value. As for results - they are good with oven chips coming out crispy. How even food cooks depends on your willingness to shake, stir, turn or baste. Although it early days, the results do reduce cooking times by 40-60%.Any downsides? Cleaning after each use is needed. If new to air frying, some accessories will help such as a meat thermometer, racks & silicone inserts. I'm very pleased with this highly flexible model so recommend it.

Works well looks nice easy controlsIf I had to say anything bad it would be the he drawers are a bit on the small size but that’s on me for not paying attention to the capacity before purchase

What is great about this fryer, it’s stylish in looks - sturdy built - cooks so quickly - food tastes lovely - so many easy to use options - very easy to clean - a lot quieter than my old draw fryer - and brilliant that you can view what is cooking. What I would alter, a longer lead, I couldn’t put it where I wanted it as it didn’t reach the plug. No manual included, everything on line now, I just don’t want to keep going on line each time I need to know something . All in all, an excellent buy, only time will tell how it holds out.
