Sega Dreamcast Console (Renewed)

All the cords were included, the console functions exactly as it should, it's pretty much exactly what you would've hoped for if you bought it in 1999. The only downside is the noisy fan, but that's a known problem with the console itself, not a defect

I bought this because my old Dreamcast had some trouble playing certain titles. Some games always ran (Spawn, Marvel Versus Capcom 2), but others (Shenmue, Jet Grind Radio, D-2, even good ol’ Crazy Taxi in latter days) displayed issues. Because my old Dreamcast and games were used in the first place, I wasn’t really sure if it was a problem with the game(s) or the system itself, but after considering that the (old) system came from a non-Amazon store that has since proven to be somewhat unreliable, I decided to order this Amazon Renewed product. My renewed Dreamcast arrived promptly, and in great working condition. After hooking it up and testing out some of my favorite games, I can safely say that the problem I had was in my old system. I no longer get a black screen or instantly brought back to the home screen after starting a disc, and I no longer play in fear of the game crashing unexpectedly or have to insert a good disc 20 < times before it plays. With my Model 1 Genesis, this is my second successful purchase of vintage Sega hardware from this seller.

it did not work it took too long to reload sonic adventure with a black screen, didn't come with the appropriate ac cord, and to top it all off it kept buzzing yes it worked but it didn't play the game. I had the HDMI converter and still wouldn't work. the only redeemable factor is the warranty I hope they fix these problems in the future.

Product is in very good condition and shipping was very fast. Very good seller. My only complain, and the reason I didn't give 5 stars , is that the internal memory wasn't erased. This is very important if you are buying a Dreamcast(DC) to continue playing your Phantasy Star Online( PSO) file. For those who don't know, PSO(& ver2) ties your file to the console, so if you need to play it on a different console, a different PSO file cannot be found saved there. If you have a browser disc you can erase the internal memory by just plugging in one controller in the port "B" slot of your DC. Insert the web browser, then hold x and b on the controller,then turn it on, then wait until the DC finish booting up. I happen to have 2 browser discs so It wasn't a problem for me. Also I don't know if their other DC consoles need to have the memory erased, so it might have been just my console. Besides that little inconvenience, I do recommend getting the DC from this seller.
