Id say any more than 35lbs and it could either be damaged in use, or topple over in use. Its quite light, and not the most sturdy wood ever. An adult would break it if climbed on, but great for small supervised babies/toddlers, i use it with my 7 month old, he loves it. Great product though, im very happy with my purchase.
