NETGEAR WNA3100-100PES N300 802.11n (300 Mbps) Wi-Fi USB Adapter

I ordered the part which arrrived quickly. It connected to my computer quickly (running XP on old PC (about 8 to 10 years old, I think it was one of the first 64 bit processors, single core AMD processor). Got the latest drivers quickly (I never use supplied drivers, I always go to the internet to ensure I am uising the latest ones) which installed quickly. Pressed the quick link button on device and on my router. It connected straight away and still works. The whole process starting from removing from box, collecting driver from main PC, running up & down stairs to connect, took about 10 minutes. PC and router are a fair distance apart and signal is excellent. We borrowed a laptop and set up next to the PC which has inbuilt 56k wifi, but the signal for which is indicated as good. I can't remember the actual speeds, the PC doesn't get used very often. What more could you want. The only problem now is this connection works quicker than my main PC which is wired into the router.

I have a 5 comp./laptops network at home with my friends and recently we upgraded the internet broadband as well so we needed a really good connection. The Router is on Wireless N+ so we had to buy this "N" adapters. After 4 days of reading reviews I decided that this Netgear is the best quality for money. We have them from Feb. 2012 and they are handling our internal network and the internet on full speeds ever since, WITHOUT dropouts or connection issues ! The signal receive range is very good aswell as we tried them at our neighbor which is around 3 houses far (70 - 80 meters) with our network ! So all in one this device is excellent quality for money !!!

Bought this for my desktop PC. Had a few issues installing it!! 1. The supplied dock didn't work on my PC ( the dongle works OK when it is plugged directly into a USB port, sans dock) 2. I couldn't connect to my wireless network using the button on the dongle. (had to type in details the old fashioned way) So a four star review due to the above points & no clue to as why it doesn't work in the supplied dock! It does drop out occasionally (I just pull it out and plug it back in and it finds the signal again) but most of the time it stays connected well, gives a strong signal and does the job, overall a good product. Shame the dock didn't work as I bought it for the dock & no clue to why? It doesn't quite work right for me but overall a good item, simple to install & about 95% reliable on the connection (with the odd drop out).

It kind of works but the ergonomics are a disgrace.

The item was delivered earlier than expected. Worked perfectly. Inserted the CD and followed the instructions. Very simple set up. I was up and running within 2 minutes. The unit has excellent range. It came with a USB cable which allowed me to move the adapter around to gain a better signal. This also meant that I could have the adapter on my desk rather than in the back of my PC which reduces the signal strength My PC is in a different room to my router which meant my signal to my router was often low and web pages took an age to load. Now I constantly have a strong signal and have the full benefit of my fast broadband connection

This product repeatedly crashes with driver errors on windows 8.1 and needs resetting. This error is entirely repeatable by modifying device power management settings in Windows 8.1. Netgear support just don't want to know or fix the problem and instead offer to ship a replacement at the customers expense at twice the price of the product on Amazon. When asked how they know the problem is a hardware fault without diagnosing the problem they refused despite asking multiple times to either confirm or deny in writing that they know very well this is a defective product that doesn't actually work with Windows 8.1 in the first place. In the end I kindly refused their replacement, this has gone on Ebay and has been replaced by a product that actually works as advertised. This product at least deserves one star in that having learned what terrible products Netgear make and awful support and customer service they give I now know never to make the mistake of ever buying a Netgear product again.

Was a great product when it first arrived, no problems and great speeds. However after 3 weeks it's started having some frustrating issues. Watching youtube videos or using internet moderately seems to overheat the device. After a few hours of use it (i'm assuming) overheats and requires un-plugging and plugging back in. Which I suppose is tolerable for basic internet use however extremely frustrating while gaming. Though it hasn't happened at the right time yet, i imagine i'd be very annoyed if it did this during a large file upload.

Erst mal vielen Dank für die sehr schnelle Lieferung von Amazon. Ich habe diesen Adapter bereits schon mal für meine Freundin gekauft. Allerdings damals in einer anderen Version. Genau deswegen habe ich mich wieder für die Fa. Netgear entschieden. Der Adapter sieht sehr edel aus und funktioniert ohne Probleme. Einfach Treiber installieren, Router auswählen, das jeweilige Passwort eingeben, fertig! Der Adapter wird auch nicht zu warm ;-) Durch den mitgelieferten Cradle kann man den Adapter auch z.B. auf den Rechner stellen, um den Empfang zu verbessern. Das USB Kabel ist da auch nicht zu kurz. Klare Empfehlung!

La he montado en un pc sobremesa, con el alargador USB que viene incluido, y funciona perfectamente. Me he descargado los últimos controladores de la web de Netgear y la he instalado sin problemas. Compatibilidad 100% con el router de movistar, y sin problemas de configuración en Windows.

Il prodotto è eccellente come generalmente tutti i prodotti Netgear. Con questa periferica è possibile collegare ad una rete wifi anche computer che sono sprovvisti di schede wireless. L'installazione è semplicissima: per prima cosa basta inserire il cd ed installare il software e quando richiesto collegare l'adattatore alla presa USB ed il gioco è fatto. Ovviamente per connetterci con il nostro router dobbiamo conoscere la password e/o dare i permessi di collegamento (se si usa indirizzi MAC) tramite router... ma questo è un discorso che si prevede siate in grado di farlo e che comunque non riguarda la recensione del qui presente prodotto. Questo adattatore USB ha una potenza fino a 300 Mbps il che significa che riesce a ricevere e trasmettere segnale molto distante e anche con ostacoli lungo il percosso (muri, porte, solai, ecc.), ricordatevi che per una migliore resa dovete impostare anche il vostro router a potenza 300 Mbps in ricezione e trasmissione (se il vostro modello lo supporta e lo permette). Molti si lamentano che il segnale non è migliore di altre chiavette wifi... beh, controllate prima le impostazioni del vostro router. Ricordo inoltre che il linea di massima le potenze posso essere definite grossomodo così: 150 Mbps = Ottimo segnale nella stanza dove c'è il router. Scarso nelle stanze adiacenti. Assente in quelle lontane. 300 Mbps = Ottimo segnale nella stanza dove c'è il router e in quelle adiacenti. Scarso il quelle lontane. 600 Mbps = Ottimo segnale in tutte le stanze dell'abitazione. Sufficiente fuori dall'abitazione e per molti metri di distanza Scegliete quindi la potenza in base alle vostre esigente. E non stupitevi se, avendo un router da 150 Mbps e questa chiavetta da 300 Mbps, la qualità del segnale è sempre scarsa, il problema è del router che non supporta il segnale più potente e la chiavetta è costretta a ricevere solo 150. J'ai acheté cette clé Wi-Fi pour remplacer un duo de CPL, qui avait des problèmes à me fournir en Internet depuis des travaux électriques dans la maison. Elle est efficace, l'installation se fait très rapidement(installation des pilotes via CD, branchement USB et c'est parti). La vitesse est relativement bonne, j'ai une meilleure vitesse de téléchargement qu'avec mes CPL. La portée est suffisante, aucune perte constatée alors que la box est à l'autre bout de la maison. Je n'ai pas pu essayer le Push 'N' Connect puisque je n'ai pas le matériel compatible. En bref, très bon produit, surtout pour le prix. Si vous avez besoin d'une clé Wi-Fi pas chère et efficace, foncez ;)
