These small wooden incense cone holders are handmade from wood in central Scotland. I have inlaid old British half-pennies as the burning plates. They have been finished using my take on a traditional Japanese technique normally used for building cladding but I think it looks really cool applied to some household items and I especially love it for incense holders because it's brilliant to burn something in something burnt. They measure approximately 4cm across and the half penny is 2.5cm in diameter. To clean the coin after burning an incense cone, a little solvent on some cotton wool will lift the tar. Just make sure all trace of solvent has gone before relighting any cones. If you want a specific date, coin, wood or finish, please message me and I'll see what I can do.
