OROS Strike Indicator 6-Pack in and Colors

What an incredible product! Adding or removing these indicators from your leader is so fast & easy! They also don’t kink the leader upon removal and these indicators don’t slip a bit. These things are magic. They also float high in the water and provide the angler with a great visual of your drift as well. Gone are my days of using thingamabobbers, yarn and anything that needs toothpicks to secure or mucilin to make float. I’ve been fly fishing for 31 years and it perplexes me why no other company has made an indicator so simple, yet so effective. Worth every penny. Well done OROS!

Perfect for use as bobbers for fishing. I bought a couple different sizes and colors. Easy to use but gets tricky with super line monofilament. They will slide so i just double up the line which works.

These are great, light on the line for casting, easy to adjust depth quickly on the river. I was worried they would kink the line, but they don't at all. Highly reccomed small or xs, as they are easy to see and detect any movement.

These strike indicators are awesome. I got the medium size in white. With some indicators that I've used in the past, the weight of the jig was too heavy, especially if I was using 2 weighted flies. I was looking for a simple indicator that was easy to see, and these work great. One word of caution, the two halves of the indicator screw together, and it can be a little challenging to screw them together while holding the line in place, particularly when hands are full and holding the rod under your arm. It might be easier to put it on the bigger end of the leader and slide it down.

It's my opinion that this product is currently the best hard strike indicator on the market. Note, I'm being specific here. Yarn-like materials for indicators are very different and used for different applications. I will only be addressing this product compared to its "hard" counterparts. As noted, when it comes to strike indicators, I believe this is currently the best indicator on the market. Floatation is great and there are multiple sizes available for your application. They're easy to attach and minimizes kinking or disturbing the integrity of your leader/tippet. The indicator can also be used to directionalize your line in a 90º angle if you need it by wrapping it around the screw stem. This is my preference to ensure my line lays flat on the water and my line below the indicator is directionally pointing down. More importantly, attaching, removing, and adjusting is effortless. This is the most important feature of this product in my opinion. It is critical to ensure you're floating your flies at the appropriate depth and constant adjusting is needed as you work your way up/down a river system. Overall, I recommend this product for all fly fishermen who nymph. I removed one star due to the cost. This is a not a cheap product for what it's used for and seems a bit overpriced. Still, the cost supersede its benefits. Again, I recommend.

Very easy to put on your leader and doesn't slide out of place. If you need to adjust the depth just loosen slightly, move it, and retighten. Tested out the other day and they are perfect. For reference, the medium size is about the circumference of a nickel.

I bought the red and white because it reminded me of fishing with my Grandpa, a grumpy old dude who changed the minute he hit the water to drown worms. I'm not an avid fisherperson, but I do drop a line now and then. My nephew has been fly fishing, while I haven't. Over Thanksgiving, he had his fly-fishing gear in the truck, so we took a standard rod and his fly rod and did some dry casting in the back yard. I have arthritis, so I wasn't sure how getting them on a line would work for me. It was a breeze! My nephew is pretty strong and his casts are powerful. He had no slip, no movement and was impressed with how easy they were to re-position. I'm looking forward to spring to test them out on the standard line on the river near my house. My nephew tried to steal the tin, so he's getting some for Christmas.

They are small that’s for sure, but they are supposed to be. Easy to see and float very well. I have no complaints with these little guys. They attach easily and work as intended. A bit pricey but worth it as they work!
