A great solar rain gauge

Great addition to the garden! After a massive hail storm took out our last rain gauge, I went searching for a new one. This one was not only functional but cute!

This is a beautiful rain gage but very fragel with the butterfly. Mine came in missing a wing but i still kept it. Also you must remove the entire piece to empty the glass tube, the tube is not removable by itself so if it were to break, there is noway to replace it. Kind of expensive considering these issues.

This is very cute and it does collect rain HOWEVER the lights stopped working on it soon after I purchased and a new battery didn't help. The reason I picked this one is because I wanted the lights along with it. I can only guess that for a rain gauge it isn't very waterproof! It does collect rain fine but you have to remove the whole thing from the ground to empty the rain because the glass part has clips on it so that isn't ideal either. Might want to find another version instead of this one.

This rain gauge is well made and very pretty in person. The gauge is solid and study and easy to read. The coloring on the butterfly in the daytime is really gorgeous as well. The lights that light up at night are vivid and give a little glow to your garden at night as well. It was simple to put together, taking about 5 minutes to put together and stake in the ground. Just be sure the solar panel is in full sun in order for the stake to light up as bright as possible.
