Great printer!
This printer has been great! We previously owned a printer that always had issues and our ink cartridges would dry out quickly. This printer hasn’t had any problems and has been relatively simple to use. The software UI isn't great, but neither are any other printer brands it seems. I couldn’t figure out how to use the printer for printing on index cards so I called Canon customer service and they were super helpful and walked me through the solution. We print on this nearly every day for our daughter’s unsatiable coloring hobby and that alone has been worth the purchase. This printer also has really great reviews on Consumer Reports. The highest rated printer on CR for black and white laser printers is this same printer except with a touch screen (and much higher cost), but everything else is literally the exact same. I’d recommend it!

Fantastic printer!
After using inkjet printers for years, I was very pleasantly surprised with the speed and quality of the printouts from this laser printer. It has a small footprint, is VERY easy to operate and has no problem using aftermarket toner cartridges. You get a "the installed toner cartridge is not a genuine Canon product" warning every so often, but pressing the OK button clears the message. Great quality and fast printer at a great price!

HP Printer
A good printer, but uses ink very quickly.

Great value and super little printer!
My very old Dell printer finally died and I struggled researching which new printer to get. This little canon is perfect. A slight hitch with setup, but it really only took me about 40 minutes to unpack and get it up and running. It is a bit slow to finally start printing but I think that is what you will find with all wireless printers.

Impossible to setup - Not recommended
I’ve been doing PCs since the early 1980’s, about 47 years. I’ve made my own computers back when parts were affordable. I’ve followed computer technology since the LSI, DEC existed, and BASIC was the latest & greatest. I know computers, accessories, and software. But, I could not het the image CLASS setup.I read the Manual and Setup brochure. I followed the directions, and made sure I did it right. No QR code, really! As a Mac and PC user, I never had any problem with any Canon printer or imageCLASS copier, printer, fax machine. Not recommended except for the most accomplished technical person.

Strong, efficient , printer .
When I print I often leave completed pages in the output tray and grab them the next day. I hit print and move on until I need the documents. Often I am in a different room than my printer. The most frustrating thing for me is having to 'fix' my printer to complete the job. This printer is a bull. Never stopped mid job. I hit print button and move on until I need to collect my documents. Cost is very reasonable. Toner usage is efficient. Very happy with this product. It does not print in color but I chose to spend on a solid printer over color. Will upgrade at some point , but a solid printer that is in color comes with a price tag.

Excellent printer for home office, fast and reliable
I've only had it for a week, but so far I love this printer. First page is out in about 6 seconds. My previous printer was an HP laser mfp m130fw, 3 years old, the canon is sooo much faster and more reliable. The HP was frequently "offline" and had to be restarted, and although it was rated at 22 ppm, it literally took 2 minutes per page to print anything. This cannon prints a 10 page document in under 20 seconds, the same document took almost 10 minutes to print on the HP. So far the cannon has always printed reliably anytime I send it a print from any device it powers up and prints quickly with no connectivity problems. You can't go wrong with this printer.

Decent laser printer but expensive toner cartridges and terrible software!
Decent Black and White laser printer. The price drop due to the updatedLBP247dw model was nice as it's essentially the same, except the added cost for the touchscreen which isn't really necessary. Save yourself some money and get the LBP246dw model. You won't be changing settings much, except to check the toner life and cable/wifi connections, at times.Haven't tried it out yet, except for testing, but will very soon, as a replacement for an older, outdated Brother laser printer. Stay away from Brother printers. The lower rating has more to do more with the general setup & connection settings, which are a pain in the butt and the high cost of the replacement ink cartridges.Windows 10/11 actually has the printer drivers compared to the Generic drivers that Canon provides on the included CD and online support page.It ONLY uses 2.4Gz not the 5Gz for wifi so do Not expect much speed, as there is a 3 sec delay for docs to print once sent to the printer from the PC.For relatively faster speed, connect via cable to print, otherwise, use both cable and the 2.4 wifi. You MUST have the wifi turned on so other PCs and smartphones can recognize and use the laser printer. For whatever reasons, the printer can NOT be found on a network. Don't waste your time like I did.Connect the printer to the PC that you use often and turn on the wifi feature for all other devices. You'll need to download the Canon Business app on your smartphone to use the printing feature. The printer does NOT recognize Apple's Airdrop feature so you must use the wifi function via print instead.Canon really needs to revamp its software as it's Terrible! Also, the Toner Status app does NOT work with the LBP246 model! It does work with the older Imageclass FM410 model.Don't use the Toner Saver as text is printed relatively light. It doesn't look good when printing professional documents. The replacement toners are expensive. Don't bother with the regular 070 cartridge and buy the High Capacity 070 H version which, unfortunately, cost ~$250/each! There are more affordable 3rd party cartridges available but you'll have to be careful as quality. Also, turn OFF the 'Genuine Canon Mode' for the cartridges which is literally buried deep in the printer's settings.
