Can this adhesive be used on normal wallpaper

It’s like tiling grout, I bought 2, I really have preferred using lots of normal paste or even ova, this paste drys extremely quick and is hard to use thickly, meaning by the time you pasted it’s half dry

How is it removed? - I am thinking of using it with Polyurethane Foam.

The adhesive is very sticky and thick, when wet you can wipe it off with a damp cloth and a bit of effort but once dry it is pretty much there for good. I think it would be very difficult to remove a wall covering once it has been  put up and been in place for a while. I think the idea is to use it with Wallrock thermal liner which is going to remain in situ forever more! Hope this is of some use.

Can you use wallpaper paste

They recommend using the stronger adhesive over wallpaper paste because the thermal liner is so thick that it will rise away from the wall otherwise. It's worth the added cost to do it properly and achieve the best finish. I used the recommended adhesive for both the insulating layer and the lining paper to ensure a strong bond and over 5 years later it's still perfect.

Could this be used on dry, flaking plaster to stabilise it before applying a thermal liner?

I have found the thick wallrock paper capable of covering up almost any wall defect.  I don't think you would need to stabilize the plaster - just use the adhesive with the paper as per instructions, and whatever horrors you need to conceal should be gone for good.  The thick paper is of course much more expensive but aside from its thermal properties (which do improve the room temperature) it's also great at covering over rough bits of wall, even ancient anaglypta wallpaper, so I think worth the expense even on interior walls. The thinner lining paper is good quality but I tried it on some breezeblock in an attic and the shape of the blocks shows through - to get rid of that would take another layer, so for cosmetic reasons better to use the thick stuff in the first place if that's within budget.  It takes some handling as it's like a heavy blanket when the adhesive is applied.  Good luck.
