Vitamin K2 MK7 (100mcg) with Vitamin D3 (5000 IU) – 3 Months Supply - 90 Veggie Caps

First doctors told women to take calcium to protect from osteoporosis. But oops, they did not realize that calcium without vitamin D causes all that calcium to line your arteries because apparently, you have to have Vitamin D to direct the calcium into the bones. So doctors backed off of calcium and started focusing on Vit D since 80% of the population is deficient in D. Most people get plenty of calcium in their diet and don't need extra calcium. Now it has been discovered in the last 15 years that Vit D needs K2 to activate the D receptors. K2 is completely different from K1 so don't lump them together. K1 is the blood clotting factor whereas K2 has little impact on blood clotting. Wish they would have given it a different name. K2 is found in fermented foods or grass fed beef/butter/dairy so K2 has been essentially eliminated out of the diet. So now we know that Vit D and K2 must be taken together. Products that combine D with K2 are ideal and eliminate having to take an extra pill. I like this product specifically because it is gmo free, soy free, gluten free and made in America. Also, the capsule is methycellulose instead of mag stearate which is a big deal for me. The formula has the exact amount of Vit D that my doctor recommended which was 5000iu. It has 100mcg of K2. No one knows for sure how much K2 is needed so you will see formulas with anywhere from 60mcg to 200mcg of K2. I would have preferred a higher amount of K2 such as 180mcg with this higher amount of D but 100mcg is probably fine too.

My rating has nothing to do with whether or not this vitamin works because I cannot attest to that........this rating is based solely on my inability to swallow the capsule because as soon as I place it in my mouth it sticks to my tongue. The capsule most often gets lodged in my throat because it goes down the wrong way. I will not be ordering this particular vitamin again. I hate that I am losing money I can't afford to but greater my greater concern is choking to death on a vitamin.

The amount of capsules I receive for the price. A three month supply. I had to have the certain supplements in my life wasn't getting what I need.These are the supplements you take, but you can not tell if they work or not. So if you need the certain vitamins in your diet, give these a chance.Also the capsules are small and are easy to take.

This did exactly what I'd hoped: it raised my levels of vitamins D and K, just as my doctor and I had hoped! Will continue to purchase these vitamins for as long as necessary.

I like this product and would have given it 5 stars if it contained the other forms of vitamin K2. Otherwise good product. Needed the bump in D3 and K2 for my immune system as well as energy. Especially during this winter season.

Seems to help with the lack of sunlight here but I wish it was a little less expensive so I could keep buying it.
