Most Excellent Mixer
I decided to make Christmas cookies this year and needed a mixer. The price for a new KitchenAid was ridiculous so I began reading reviews for a better option. I luckily came upon this Howork 6.3 quart stand mixer and took a chance. I baked almost 250 cookies and made all the Royal Icing using my new Howork which costs a fraction of the overpriced name brand mixer.I had zero problems using this mixer. The attachments are a nice beefy metal that cleans easily. The Howork plowed through the dough making process without any issues. It is relatively quiet when running and cleans up nicely. What more could you ask for?If having the status of that prettyname brand mixer setting on your kitchen counter for five times the cost means that much to you than by all means purchase it.If you just want a mixer to be a mixer than buy this one. It works perfectly fine. BTW I noticed this same mixer here on Amazon made by different manufacturers so if you can’t find a Howork this one might be available if you search around. As a bonus I’m including my award winning sugar cookie recipe at no cost to you. lolAmaze your family & friends next Christmas with these beautiful and delicious cookies.Ho Ho Ho🎄👍Sugar cookie recipe:1 Cup unsalted butter, softened (set two butter sticks out overnight to “soften” before use)1 Cup sugar1 tsp vanilla1/2 tsp almond extract1 egg2 tsp baking powder1/2 tsp salt3 Cups all-purpose flourCream butter and sugar, then add egg and extracts. In a separate bowl mix dry ingredients then slowly add the dry to the wet. (Mix only 1or 2 minutes to avoid dough becoming “sticky” and hard to work with)Then roll out dough and cut out. Bake in 375 degree oven for 13-14 minutes (cover pan with parchment paper and rotate 180 degrees after 8 minutes to ensure even cooking; cookie edges will turn light brown when done. Let stand on hot pan 8 minutes then transfer to cooling rack for 30 minutes.Royal Icing:2 lb. bag of confectionery sugar1/2 cup Milk1/3 cup light corn syrup6 tsp vanillaSift confectionery sugar first to avoid clumps that will block icing as it passes through piping paper.Add sugar to mixer and start on low, slowly add milk, corn syrup and vanilla. Mix several minutes on medium to high until well mixed. Pass knife edge through icing mixture and count the seconds it takes to disappear. You can add more milk (or more sugar) to get thinner/thicker consistency one teaspoon at a time. Knife line made in icing should disappear in 15 to 20 seconds for correct piping consistency.(If “flooding” consistency is needed then knife edge should disappear after 8-10 seconds)Place finished icing in covered bowl until use to avoid crust forming on top. You can let icing set out overnight if in airtight container. Best if used immediately after preparing.Happy eating👍😊Sent from my iPhoneSent from my iPhone

So far, so good
I can't tell you how much time I spent looking at stand mixers below $100...I read, researched & compared. Costway, Hamilton Beach, Farberware, numerous brands made in China (all good sellers according to reviews). I have a KitchenAid that I never took out of the box because I have a smaller kitchen (condo) & will use it when I move into a house. In the meantime, because I love to cook & bake I was tired of using my hand mixer but had minimal storage.First, the best thing about this mixer (for me) is how LIGHT it is and not big in size. Super easy to grab & store (unlike the KitchenAid beast).2. I like the depth of the bowl and needed at least a 6 quart. Of all the other brands that appeared to be better quality, quart size was nearly 4 at most! Too small for me.3. Motor had more wattage than most (300 vs 600).4. More compact design & nice looking.5. Splash guard & planetary mixing was another selling point.6. Only $70 on sale!I know these appliances can be hit or miss, especially when you know the quality won't compare to Cuisinart or KitchenAid, but honestly I just wanted a light stand mixer that could perform average at best given the price point and this does just that. I took a gamble. Will it break on me? Maybe, but I'm crossing my fingers. This mixer did a really good job incorporating all the ingredients for my cookie dough. I didn't have to use the spatula to help with that. The speed setting on 1 & 2 are a little slower but I actually like that. 2 did the job for mixing everything nicely. I really have no complaints with it's performance thus far. I'm waiting to try pizza dough next and whipping eggs & cream at higher speeds. My biggest gripe is the teflon coated paddle & dough hook. Meh..I feel like it'll start to peel off any day..I'm being really careful not to stick these in the dishwasher and using nothing abrasive to clean with. The bowl could be a thicker gauge steel as well...too thin & kind of flimsy, but hey, it was only $70? As long as it doesn't bend, I'll be ok haha. The splash guard doesn't fit perfectly on the bowl (maybe I didn't attach it properly), but I won't lose sleep over it.All in all, so far so good. I like my mixer and am happy with the price I paid. It's nice to not have to do the mixing yourself...I just hope it lasts a few years ;)

Does the job
Bought for a present. She loves it. She is no longer doing lots of baking but still making bread and pastries. Got the job done with ease. Lighter than some other blenders too. Would recommend it for the price.

Perfect gift for both novice and experienced bakers.
I was in search of an electric, handheld mixer. I bought this item for my nephew and myself since I specialize in cookies and cakes, and he excels in banana bread and making pizza dough from scratch. We are pleased with the mixer because it is neither too heavy nor too small; it's the perfect size. The mixer feels sturdy and is easy to clean. It's user-friendly and operates quietly, maintaining stability even at high speeds. The dough hook is especially efficient for kneading bread dough, and the wire whip quickly whips cream. Plus, I absolutely love the color!

Why buy a kitchen aid?!
This works fantastic. I love the little opening in the bowl cover. My fav feature is the bowl cover to prevent ingredients from spilling over. Def worth the price if you’re a novice baker and want a powerful machine with large capacity

Good for the price
Good for the normal use of a household of 4. When you use it it's getting heated up and so reduced 1 star. Otherwise there are no issues. Will add to the review in case any updates later.
