I recently picked up the Amazon Basics 4-Shelf Storage Unit, and it's been a really solid addition to my home office. The chrome finish gives it a nice, sleek look, which fits in well with my setup, but the real highlight is how functional it is. What sold me on it was how adjustable the shelves are. I appreciate being able to customize the height based on what I need to store. Whether it’s books, bins, or some craft supplies, I can arrange everything without issues. The maximum weight capacity is impressive too. I didn’t test it by loading it up to 640kg, but it definitely feels sturdy, giving me confidence that it can hold whatever I decide to stack on it. It’s also nice that it has leveling feet because my flooring isn't all that even. This little feature really helped keep everything stable, so I’m not worried about it tipping over. Overall, I’m pleased with this storage unit. It’s reliable, easy to put together, and has just enough style without being flashy. If you need some extra storage space, I’d say it’s definitely worth considering.

I wasn’t sure what to expect at this price but this is a surprisingly solid and easy (see the caveats below!) to put together shelving system. My recommendation is to buy two - the first you will put together with copious swearing and a vow to throw it in the bin. The second is a walk in the park due to the learning from the first. We have these in our pantry area, they look great, are really sturdy and great value.

We recently had solar panels fitted including a battery system, we couldn't stack items against the wall anymore so purchased this to put my vinyl and cases on. They can take a lot of weight, look really stable and does the job, they were very easy to assemble, am surprised by many of the Amazon's own products. They are really good. Would recommend Only slight problem I can see, if you do put a lot of weight on and then want to adjust the shelf I would imagine you would have to hit the shelf with a hammer to loosen it

The two worst things about these shelving units are the fiddly 2-part plastic blocks that act as stops/supports for the shelves, and fact that these seem to go out of stock very quickly and take months to come back in - which makes it quite hard to buy additional similar items without lengthy delays. Having bought one of these that was delivered in November, after finding that I was very happy with the quality and size of the unit to go up in my loft, I then had to wait more than two months for them to become available again (after pre-ordering an additional 3). The diagram form instructions could be clearer. The 2-part plastic blocks that work as shelf supports only work one way round and can be a bit fiddly to begin with, but once you start to get into the swing of using them, the shelf unit is pretty straightforward to build. Once fully assembled, these are good, solid shelving units with an industrial look that's ideal for additional in room storage, as well as in garages, sheds, and as an easy method of adding organisational capability to loft spaces.

Great sturdy product really useful

I have 4 of these types of shevign units at home (garage and storage room) . They are super versatile . They are very easy to assemble - about 20 mins and are super strong - they can carry weight without bending. They do come with restraint straps so you can anchor the top to a wall , but I haven't done this and never had an issue - but it's there if you feel you need it. Finish is good quality. For the money you cant go wrong. Almost toolless assembly - just a mallet is useful. You can setthe shelf spacing as needed very easily and there are markers on the support legs so you can easily set the shelves level, plus on there are adjusters on the feet - to deal with issue with the floor being uneven.

First off - I took a bit of a punt on this as recent reviews are mixed. The instructions are non existent (there are actually none) so I can understand where folk are struggling to work out how to assemble perfectly. Including a 10 page warranty document in 10 languages is probably unnecessary when folk just need to know how to assemble. Please fix this Amazon. Anyway, we bought this to address the issue of needing somewhere to store our Wellies and dog food. This fits perfectly in our utility room and after I worked out how the assembly clips sit in the grooves of the 4 uprights, everything fitted well together with the shelves compression fitted into place. Once built correctly (which is not guaranteed given the total lack of instructions) this thing is solid and looks good. Would definitely buy again.

I would highly recommend this product. It was easy to construct, very sturdy and great value for money. I have ordered another smaller one as I was so pleased with it. My attic is now much more organised!!

I love this product as it is easy to install and works great in small places, I can set the shelves to the height I want them and not is sturdy enough that I don't worry about it falling down. Mine is in the garage and houses all my canning stuff so it is holding a fair amount of weight.

Positiv überrascht wurden wie wertig, stabil und einfach im Aufbau dieses Regal ist. benutze es im Keller und bin super zufrieden, auch schwere Kisten finden ihren Platz, die Höhe der Regale kann man selber einstellen. Wenn ich noch weiteren Regalbedarf habe, kaufe ich das garantiert nochmal.

At first I was not sure if I would like a steel shelving system compared to a wooden one in my bedroom. Now they stand right next to my old Sauder's shelves and they do not look bad. Comes with a bonus that I do not have to worry about the weight I subject them to-- Pros: 1. The shelves are made of steel. You can sit on it and it will not bend. It bends/flexes a little if you stand on it, like any steel product. Yes, I tried it while it was partially assembled to make sure I do not get any surprises at night! The sleeves did not break either. The 4 vertical hollow posts or legs holding the shelves are also steel, equally sturdy. Each vertical leg comes in two pieces and the joints go in tight. This product is solidly built. So, great value for money. Now I have 3 of these shelves. Someone commented the plastic sleeves keep sliding down, but I did not have any problems-- you just need to be a little careful in placing them. Also, I assembled the shelves upside-down, i.e. with the 'lip'-side down so I can stack more and easily slide off the boxes when needed. Engineering-wise, I do not see any problems either way you assemble it. 2. Legs have small plastic feet to keep it from scratching floors. Will they crack and break? Only time will tell. 3. Assembly was very easy and the instructions clear. The assembled product was not wobbly/ unstable. 4. Shelves can be easily located at every 1 inch distance. The 4 metal tubes at the end of each shelf jam into 4 black plastic sleeves that you see in the picture. Relocating the shelves later was also easy: after using for an entire day, we decided to change the levels for better stacking. The sleeves and the shelves did not jam-up and the change was easy to make. 5. Looks good for a dorm room, bedroom, or a garage. Cons: 1. Goes 3ft wide by 4 1/2 ft high. Would have preferred at least 5 1/2 ft high.
