Great fun book
Bought for my cousin's, 2 years and 5 years. Something in the book for each of them. Both loved the book, their parents tickled and played with them throughout and both kids loved it. Lovely illustrations as well.

tickles and giggles
I bought this book for my 3 year old son(now 4). He loved the book as he opened it. Even my daughter 1.5 year now loves it. The colors and characters are nice and vibrant. The hidden characters are really popular with my kids. They love opening the tabs. They laugh and start tickling each other as soon as the tickle monster pops out.The book rhymes really nicely. 'Knock knock are you tickly' 'No I am prickly' are my son's favorite lines. He says he loves this book soooo much.I would recommend this book to all parents who are looking forward to spending some fun reading time with their todslers/infant. its a good buy for the early learners. Does make them love books more ( which was my objective when buying this book) . My son is quiet a story teller now and i think this book has helped into making him one:)

Toddler loves it! Mum's not so sure!
My almost 2 year old absolutely adores this book. She wants to read it over and over and loves finding the tickle monster (and being tickled!) as we go through it.I suppose what's most important is what she thinks! BUT, I do have to say that, until I worked out a system, I did initially find it quite confusing to read and the pages are all a bit chaotic. Also, some of the poetry is a bit dire. Beautifully illustrated though.

beautifully illustrated so much to see
beautifully illustrated so much to see, in fact i see new stuff every time i read to our toddler. In addition she loves all the lift the flaps and moveable pictures, really captures her attention, and is now an avid reader and i do feel this series of books have really helped encourage curiosity in books and exploring them, so while the heavier tomes of shakespear may be a way of yet i am hopeful that these books will encorage a life long love of books, in the mean time the ticklemonster rules, and its a lovely way of spending time with your children that doesn't involve the TV or Computer games. I would add that if your little one is very excitable and inevitabley very heavy handed they are in danger of damaging the pull tabs that move some of the characters, but it is a heavish card book but even card has its limits! it is a small critisim but just be aware.

A Big Favourite
I bought this book for my 18 month old because he was starting to get to an age where he needed a bit more than just a baby board book, but wasn't quite ready for a toddler book. I am so glad I bought it because he absolutely loves it, each page provides so much stimulation and fun, and the anticipation of the Ticklemonster keeps him on tenterhooks! I agree with some of the reviews here that the pull-out tabs are fragile and can easily be torn by small fingers, but to make them more robust may make it too hard for babies to move them on their own which my little boy wants to do. However, due to his tender age he is still a bit rough so I have to keep it on the top shelf for supervised reading, but I think it makes it all the more exciting for the little one as it is a treat! The excitement when I say we can read the Tickle Book!!

Fantastic - a delight for children & parents alike
This book is excellent. My brother-in-law bought this along with "The Bedtime Bear" as a Christmas present when my now almost 3 year old son was about 5 months old. The book got put away and forgotten about at the time as he was too young. We found the book last week and got it out as he is now big enough for it. I have never seen a reaction from him quite like this one! He loves reading anyway (always insisting on reading it himself) but this book is without a doubt his favourite. I have lost track of how many times he has read it since we got it out for him!The tabs aren't very good for little fingers, but if you read it together you can 'help' and hopefully the book won't become too damaged. An excellent story, well illustrated and very interactive.

Enjoyed by 8 mth old and 2 year old.
This was a present for grandchildren. They enjoy the storyline and also lifting the 'doors' to see what's behind. I got it for an 8 month old and he enjoyed it but will continue to enjoy it for a time to come. The 2 year old also enjoyed it. Its a board book so will give good enjoyment
