Exactly what we were looking for as an A-level Mathematics school A4 exercise book
These books have the entire page covered with 5mm squares, so they are for maths geometry/algebra exercises [pages look a bit like graph paper but with only light 5mm squares all over]. I guess they are also useful for artists as the grid would help with constructing images in the right prospective or for pretty geometric tiled patterns. There's 140 pages in the pad, with the first page having Contents/Personal Info one side and World Timezones, European paper/envelope sizes, and conversion tables on the other. All the other 140 pages are all 5mm squared, both sides. The paper is 'premium 90 gsm' and is a bit better quality than standard 80 gsm photocopier/printer paper.Although you can easily get this type of 5mm squared paper in soft-covered pads that tear off, my daughter wanted a proper bound pad with tough hard-covers so that all her A-Level maths notes would be kept together neatly and in sequence. I couldn't find these in the high street, but found them here at Amazon. Although much more expensive than loose leaf tear off pads, these are ideal for projects like school notes as they are a far more compact, robust and elegant solution than large A4 ring binders. The spiral binding on these books allows the book to lay completely flat when open - very useful when using the HB pencil/set square. Plus we got a bit of a discount over full retail, so 5*. You may save a bit more elsewhere on-line though, if you want to buy 5 or more of these books.

Good For Purpose.
I needed a new index book to record all my CDs. I use the book when I go CD hunting in second hand and charity stores. (See the moths from the wallet). My old book finally gave up the ghost and fell to bits. This book fulfills all my requirements.Tough and robust.Good quality paper (Much better than the cheapo brands you can pick up)The right size and at a good price.

First class 'index book'
The book arrived promptly and was well packaged. We are always being advised to not use the same password for our many apps and accounts, which makes remembering them a challenge. This book was, for me, the answer. Now I can find the forgotten password when I need it, in amongst the addresses and telephone numbers. A relatively small book but now very very useful.

Fountain Pen doesn't bleed through
I use a fountain pen for keepjng my records and was fed up with cheaper quality paper allowing bleeding through to the other side. The quality of the paper used in this Oxford notebook is high and as such the ink doesn't seep through to the other side. Would recommend.

Excellent notebook, great for resolute design.
The Oxford range is right about perfect for my use case - sitting right between expensive notebooks like Moleskine and cheap crap like *insert terrible notebooks here*. When drafting up a UX design project, I usually turn to an Oxford Black n' Red Square - the pages are thick enough to take the ink I throw at it, coincidentally making it great feeling under the pen (which is surprisingly conducive to design), yet jotting down quick ideas or rough thumbnails don't feel like a waste of good paper, since its price falls on the low end of the mid range. Speaking of which, the square ruling of this paper makes it super easy to score down super quick design elements that scale correctly and look neat! Plus, I love using hardbacks to frame my design proposals - they feel wonderfully resolute in the hand, perfect for persuading your indifferent boss! Great product, recommended.
