These lamps are awesome, equivalent light output to any good 5w gu10. they are easy to set up when you have got your head round it. I find if i turn off the 5g wifi on the router then setting them up is a piece of cake. if you dont then you are going to have problems. the app is good although deleting and adding lamps into a group is painful. but it can be done. i would recommend that if adding another lamp to a large group then you actually twist and turn the lamp in the connector to get it into the setup mode. if you dont its a horror story because you will set all the other lamps into test mode and then it becomes time consuming. i have wasted hours on fine tuning the installation method. if you are having problems trust me these lamps are fantastic it will just need some scratching of head to get round the connectivity issues that you will be having. they are awesome on elecsa. they are advertised as warm or cool. there seems to be two different warm tones which is silly. as they are both advertised as the same. we normally use 4000k. i find the "warm" 3000k is too dark and the cool is horrific !! but thats personal opinion. we buy from the same person so i know that the warm we are getting is the one i want... be carefull. had a few failures out of the box but no failures when installed and running... these lamps are... brilliant.. i repeat brilliant. for the money.

Really happy to have some luxurious bulbs - we watch the tele with the intensity reduced and on a colour that is relaxing. Very nice. Also nice to ask alexa to do all of this for you.A perfect fit - unlike the Phillips bulbs. Phillips bulb were far too long. We were so disapointed to discover that they were too long because it was an expensive order.At a cheaper price, the LOHAS bulbs fit, and this alone makes them good. If the Phillips don't fit into the cieling - they're useless!At a cheaper price, the LOHAS bulbs are slightly harder to set up. Phillips have a bridge to connect and sync them all up. With LOHAS, they must be first set up using an app on your phone. One first installation it isn't too bad, however if you need to start over and add more devices it can be non-trivial. You must initialise them by turning them on and off three times. Furthermore, the intructions are clearly written by someone who isn't a native English speaker. I don't mind given my English writing is far from perfect!Essentially:-- do they work: yes-- is the ligh quality good: yes-- are they easy to set up: not as easy as it could be, but far from impossible.

I purchased 2 of these bulbs for £25. Shame they have gone up as I wanted to buy more, but not at the increased price.PROs: When you finally get them connected they are a dream. The colours are amazing and bright, the ease of use in the app is great also, so once they are working I can highly recommend!CONs: Like most, the set up is rather frustrating!! Hopefully this review will help some users.To install - I installed 1 bulb at a time. I placed them into my downlight, turned the mains switch on and off a number of times until it started flashing. I downloaded the app they advise to use (Lohas Smart) and connected the bulb. It took a few attempts but I got there. My phone, my router and my bulb were all near each other - this can be the cause for some not able to connect initially. I then repeated this for installation of the 2nd bulb I purchased.After installation they worked great in the app but would not work with Alexa. I activated the skill in Alexa but they still would not talk. The instructions included are absolute rubbish with no help at hand. I then used my preferred app - Smart Life. I repeated the installation process again and Smart Life picked up the bulbs. Same app functions as Lohas but I prefer to keep within an app I use often and has other smart bulbs connected. I tried again with Alexa, nothing working? The app sees all the bulbs, but Alexa would only work with my bayonet smart bulbs and not these new GU10 ones - so this told me the skill was working, the app was working, but for some reason these new bulbs would not pick up with Alexa? Few days later still nothing, I was almost at a point of returning but before doing so I installed both bulbs next to each other in downlights (by install I mean placed both into position), asked Alex to discover devices and both picked up instantly? Don't ask me why, I have good IT knowledge but cannot figure out why or what the issue was? When on their own I could not get Alexa to find them, when both installed and powered on Alexa found them straight away?Will I buy them again? Despite the issues 'yes' because when they work they are great, but the price needs to come down a little.Hopefully it will help someone, I dont know. They are great bulbs, just a shame on the installation challenges which is why I cannot rate any higher than 4 stars.
