This pillow block is very well made. There are two set screws in the collar to fix the shaft, and a limit pin on the outside of the collar itself. It has a capped zerk (grease fitting) that screws into the body of the block to allow the bearing to pivot smoothly in the block. The bearing turns easily and smoothly under no load. Good finish on all surfaces. Excellent value and highly recommended.Of note though, the dimensions provided for the FL201 were not accurate. The bore is correct at 1/2" but the other dimensions are closer to: A - 3 3/4", B 2- 1/8", S - 7/16", E - 2 15/16", Z - 1 1/4" and L - 7/8".

I feel the same way about these, and they are also a part of my steering to my rack and pinion.I picked these up to use for my steering to my rack and pinion on my Baja Bug build. When I was looking at the measurements in th head I was a bit worried they would be too big to use. As it turns out they are perfect and WAY better than what you find on the off road websites. These are not flimsy and cheap. They are robust and built very well and will most likely out live the Baja. I am very impressed with them, the fact that they have zert fitting's is fantastic as I can lube them up after playing out in the desert. The price is amazing as these are well worth more

The 2 bearings that received looked good and worked good. I would recommend these bearings.

I used these on the idler shaft on my old Delta 12" lathe. I had to cut off the two tabs to mount the bearings in the lathe's bearing holders, but that was quick and easy. I'll have to look for a grease gun tip that fits the half-sized fittings, though.

Bore is metric not imperial. Doesn't fit actual 1/2" rod.

I purchased these as better alternative to the junky end plate / bearing assemblies for my garage door whan I had to replace the torsion springs. There are plenty of replacement bearings listed for these end plates, but some end plates are impossible to remove the old bearing without a press and the correct intallation bushing; your only choice being to purchase new end plates with the same crappy bearings installed. The old plate assemblies were fastened with 5/16 bolts. The mounting I.D. on the block is a little over 5/8 but I was able to find nylon bushings to solve that issue. The self aligning is a huge plus as are the set screws to secure the bearing to the cross shaft.My garage door is happy and quieter now.
