This product arrived not working at all till I inserted a new battery last week.After wearing not more than a couple times the strap tore without any reason.

Very poor quality. Had this watch just over a year now so thought I would write an honest review to help people decide whether to buy this watch. I wear this at most once a week when I "go out" as it is a lovely looking watch. The first thing I noticed was that the back cover appeared very "tinny" whereby the front is glass which appears quality. The watch strap itself is genuine leather and appears to be good quality but there lies a design fault. Within a week, I noticed that the arm of the clasp gave way and went through the holding piece meaning the watch came undone. when this kept happening, I inspected it further and found that the pin which the arm sits on was so thin that it had bent which meant the arm was able to move under the clasp. I bought a new thicker pin and it has been fine since. The next problem I found was that the leather where the same pin passes through is so thin that it has ripped. I have tried to contact Globenfeld (no contact details on web that I could find) and Anthony James London, who I believe make/ trade in Globenfeld watches (only a website web form address which when you click on does not work) with no joy. I have tried to find the same or similar watch strap on-line with no joy. I have found a blue leather single stitched one but it is £26.99. For now, I have ended up supergluing the ripped part. It is water resistant only not water proof.In all a nice looking watch which could have been so much better with a little more expense.Would I buy it in hindsight, No - due to watch strap really.
