I had two iPod shuffles that had not been used for nearly ten years. The “newer” one charged perfectly with either cable and works perfectly. The older one is not holding a charge, but it had been drawing power based on the little light, so I will attempt to charge it a bit longer. Due to the age of both of these iPod shuffles, I don’t expect to be able to sync up iTunes that were recently purchased. My main reason for leaving this review is specifically for those who purchased the cables and found that “neither of the cables worked”. It’s more likely that the iPod shuffles that they were trying to charge had batteries that no longer had the ability to be charged. As far as syncing goes, there have been so many generations of iTunes and iPads, this is likely why the cables may not achieve successful synching with older iPod shuffles. For me, it was worth $8.99 to find out that at least one of my iPod shuffles still works. So again, the cables were perfect for charging probably because the iPod shuffle has a functional battery.

They both work, for now. I've bought these before and one quit working after a month or two, the 2nd one lasted for almost a year.

I have a waterproof ipod shuffle, that tiny square one. It's perfect for swimming and I've used it for years. In order to transfer audiobooks you need this tiny cable which I keep losing. I was really happy to find this 2 pack and thru work really well

In the description, it says this: "Compatible with all iPod Shuffle with clip." I have an iPod Shuffle with a clip...however it's a 2nd generation, which is not compatible with this charger. Also, the title is quite long and the types of ipods it's compatible isn't mentioned until the very end like this: "for iPod Shuffle 3rd 4th 5th /6/7 Gen MP3. Since my ipod doesn't have any writing on the outside, I wasn't sure which generation ipod I had. When I got the charger and it didn't work, I really did some research into which one I had and realized I had generation 2. I gave this product 4 stars, because my husband can use it and works for his 3rd generation ipod, however, instead of 5 stars, I gave it 4 because the title and description should be more clear. I posted a photo of my generation 2 ipod shuffle. Notice how the circle is off center, whereas the generation 3 is centered? That's how you tell the difference.

The charger worked wonderfully, got my iPod shuffle working after years. But I couldn’t use iTunes, nothing wrong with the cord itself. Apple computers/laptops typically don’t have iTunes anymore, so I’m limited to what I have on the iPod.

Found an iPod shuffle in some furniture on the side of the road near my house. Wanted to see what was on it. Very interesting mix. Did it’s job.

I bought this charger (which comes in a set of two, bonus!) To charge my iPod shuffle which is from 2010. Chargers directly from Apple aren't available any longer. So affordable and work so well!

Ordered a package of 2. Tried both with 2 different Ipods. Neither would charge the devices (no status light). Tried an Apple OEM cable and both devices immediately started charging.

I bought these cables for a friend’s iPod. It was more economical to purchase a pack of two and will mean they’ll get more use into the future. They arrived ahead of schedule and work perfectly.

It is very misleading. It just does not work or fit for iPhone.
