A little more than what I expected, good buy considering all optoons
Fir just fine for my full size 14tb mechanical drive. Thought heat would be a problem, but runs cooler than I thought (we'll see in the long run). Glad for the USBC IO and powe, the included cables (albeit short..), and decent "GaN" charger that was provided (might actually be authentic too...runs cool and is very compact and light, but I never actually looked more into it.Totally works and speed is completely acceptable. As others noted its a press and fit setup...screws aren't a thing here. They give foam to put on top or bottom or wherever to keep the drive in place...which more or less for 80% + use cases I think is still totally fine for most people. In my case, the drive won't be really portable. Just sitting on a desk with occasional moving to other PCs for backups.. but even if I was extremely mobile with the drive, it just happens to be that the 14TB Western Digital Red 3.5 inch drive fit exactly the way the bay came by default, I actually had to pop the front panel off to connect the drive and then work it onto the body because the fit was so exact. Nothing rattles, am totally satisfied.

Pretty good usb sata hard drive enclosure.
Pretty good 2.5" Sata USB hard drive enclosure. I've used it with both types of 2.5 drives and it works fine. It's not a super fast transfer device, but fast enough and works well for my needs. Power supply is thru the usb cord. It's designed pretty good, easy to install, doesn't get hot and allows for easy recognition and any size storage capacity.

Very fast, practical, and easy to use
The product arrived well protected, with clean, undamaged packaging. Upon opening it, I was surprised by how compact and lightweight it is, and the black plastic design feels solid and well made. I've been using it for a few days, connecting it to 2.5-inch SSDs and HDDs, and everything works without a hitch. Thanks to UASP SATA III support, transfers reach up to 5 Gbps, which is noticeably faster about 70% faster than traditional USB 3.0. Tool-free installation was very simple: just slide the cover, insert the drive, close it, and you're done. What stands out most is the dual USB-C and USB-A compatibility: I don't have to search for different adapters depending on the device. Its versatility is also excellent: it works with Windows, macOS, Linux, and even consoles like the PS4, and accepts drives up to 6 TB and 9.5 mm thick. Overall, I think it's an excellent purchase. It's ideal for anyone who needs to expand or reuse drives quickly and efficiently—especially for those who frequently move large files. I would especially recommend it to students, professionals, or gamers. I would definitely buy it again.

Works fine
Easy to install SSD in this enclosure. Speed is ok for simple file transfers. Makes no noise and was compatible with the laptop and SSD. Quality seems good. Did not notice any heat issues

Works.
This enclosure fits my internal drive. There is a connector inside that mates with the drive’s connector, and there is a short pigtail that plugs into the USB port on my computer to connect the drive. The lid of the enclosure fits well and snaps on tightly, but is easy to open if you need to access the drive within it. It does what it’s supposed to do at a minimal price. Nothing to complain about!

Love this product in wiping old drives prior to recycling!
Love this product in wiping old drives prior to recycling! Also functions really well to remove old files when replacing the old HDD with a new SSD! USB works well with macOS or Windows. No noise! Quality plastic. Ease of use for sure.

Compact and Reliable Hard Drive Enclosure
The BENFEI 2.5 Inch SATA to USB External Hard Drive Enclosure is my top choice for using hard drives on the go. It has a snug cushioning inside that makes inserting the drive a little tight, but that same feature gives extra protection against bumps and drops. The option to connect with either USB Type-C or Type-A makes it versatile, and the transfer speeds are exactly as advertised. I have already moved over 2 TB of data through it and it has worked flawlessly every time. The enclosure is compact, sleek, and has a nice patterned shell that looks better than most plain cases. For anyone needing a dependable and affordable enclosure for their hard drives, this one delivers perfectly.

Easy, no tools installation. Works great.
Got this to add an external SSD to an HP All-In-One that only has one HDD drive bay - which has been upgraded to a SSD. I'm mainly using it for Quickbooks Desktop backups. I tried using a thumb drive but QB would literally take 10 minutes or more to "finalize" the backup and fininsh, allowing use of the QB software again. Everything worked fine but I have no idea why the delay. It would get to about 90% and just lag. So I plugged in an extra SSD from an old laptop into a HDD utility box that uses a power chord and cables to connect an uninstalled HDD or SSD to a USB port. It worked fine with QB backup so I bought this case to make the connection less messy and more permanent. The case is very basic with a sliding cover and internal SATA connection. It's a tight fit for the SSD but that keeps it from moving around. It comes with 2 felt pads that you can install on the cover to hold the SSD more firmly in place but I decided not to use them. One pad is 1.5mm thick and the other is 3mm. The chord has both a USB-A and USB-C convertible end - the USB-C plugs in to the USB-A, or you can use the USB-C by itself. I'm using the USB-A connection. After installation and plugging it into a USB port the unit powers on and is immediately available for use. The instructions say to initialize and partition the SSD before use if brand new, but mine was already set to go. I need a magnifying glass to read the instructions, but they are clear and easily followed. It says after 10 minutes the device goes into "smart sleep mode" and powers down the SSD to save energy and preserve the life of the SSD. I'm not sure if this actually happens on my system because the power light stays lit on the box continually. Overall this is a sturdy case that firmly holds the SSD in place and functions well when plugged in to the USB port. Recommended.
