The preamp works great and is low noise. A very affordable solution. Works as designed and I am once again enjoying my old turntable.

For such an inexpensive component, it performs well and sounds great. I’ve only been running it in my system for a day, so if it fails or I run into trouble, I’ll edit this review. Clean and crisp sound. No noise. Easy to set up. The model with the on/off button is really convenient to use. I added some rubber feet. It doesn’t come with any.

Great little preamp for the price. I’ve owned higher end for a more professional setup, but this works really well especially in tight spaces. Only issue here stems from the grounding component. A little difficult to get it to stay on for some ground wires, but overall transmits a high quality sound.

Not sure why some reviews are negative. I think it works great. It's just a line amp for most record players that don't have one built in. Connected my record player to it and then to my Bose inputs. FINALLY I can listen to my old records (80's rock btw lol) For those complaining about a hum, the ground wire from player to amp HAS to be connected! Oh and just buy some cheap but new RCA cables, start fresh when setting up, right?

Exactly what I needed and wanted to boost my phonograph signal output to drive my modern amplifier. Easy setup and excellent sound!!

this unit sounds fantatic and does not add or color the sound too much. overall, it puts out a stronger signal than some of the other "budget" units i've tried. sadly, it also emits a strong, low freq hum, even with the ground cables connected. it is in both channels and is distinct from the "hum" of having a disconnected ground (which i confirmed) while music is playing, the noise is not noticable, though it can be overpowering on more quite sections of an LP. sadly, i have to return this unit, along with two other brands that i tried. i was hoping to get lucky on a strong, price-conscience unit, but alas.
