This iridescent one fell apart too quick!
This review is for the iridescent windsock that I purchased in May. I live in southern California and our summers can be hot (over 100 degrees) and some days there's a breeze, but not a stiff breeze most days. This windsock is put on a home-made swivel above my patio roof. I have purchased MANY "in the Breeze" holographic windsocks over the past 10 years or so - using one each year. Over the years I've purchased almost all of the available colors. They are put up in May and have always lasted until the end of summer and most years even longer than that. This particular windsock was put up in mid-June and had completely fallen apart by late July. And this was the first time that I'd had this problem. I want to be clear - this was the first time the windsock had fallen apart so quickly. These IN THE BREEZE windsocks are gorgeous and I will continue to buy them year after year.

Best Purchase!
BEAUTIFUL! Planted a berry garden and the birds were eating at it. I don't mind sharing, but my bushes are too young for the birds to endlessly feast. Bought this wind sock to help with the problem and It worked! A LOT less daily bird feeding! And it looks amazing in my garden! When the sun hits it, it really shines! It blows around with little wind because it's so light. Looks great at night with my warm white solar lights next to it. Much better than those printed wind socks where you can't even see the print until you're on top of it. This one is very pretty! Good price. Came back and bought another because I liked it so well. I also made an extra request to the seller, and they went above and beyond to help! I haven't had customer service like that from a company in a loooong time! Would definitely buy again.

Working well
It is really windy today and I will pull it down inside the other sock once the wind lets up a bit. This is doing exactly what I bought it for--keeping the birds off the dock. It is a nice long length and really blows in the wind. I have it tucked it inside a stronger rainbow colored windsock which was blowing but not effective in keeping the birds away. Then I tried adding those spiral things but the birds still loved hanging out on the dock. Ugh!This iridescent windsock DOES keep the birds away! I tucked it inside the pretty windsock. This one is longer so it hangs out below and looks awesome with the other windsock. I just ordered another one just in case something happens during the windy winter months to this one.Truly, my goal was to keep the cute little birds from having their meetings on my dock because of what they left behind. If that is your goal, give this sock a try but you might want another one to add to it because it is not very substantial by itself. I hope this helps you decide what is best for you and your needs/desires.

Not suitable for windsocks
I've been using mylar windsocks as bird deterrents for 20 years on the dock and in front of high A-frame windows. They would last for years. These are made from a mylar that is so thin that they can not be used outside. These are not the quality they once were. We had a pair that hung for 15 years under the eaves to deter birds from flying into the big windows. They got faded so we replaced them .The new ones have already needed repair of the hoop, but what is the worse problem is that in the least mist or rain they stick together in 2-3 clumps and never separate out when they get dry like the old ones did. We've even tried washing them in strong detergent thinking some coating is the problem, but no luck. Would love to hear of any solution to this problem. We won't be ordering any new ones...

Sparkles like a disco ball and scares birds away - Love it!
I bought two of these windsocks in silver - one for my back porch which faces east, and one for the west-facing front porch. Each side of my house gets a lot of morning and/or evening sunshine and when the sun hits this thing, it honestly lights up my porches like a sparkling disco ball. I absolutely love it. I stand at the door sometimes for a few minutes just watching it as it's a little hypnotizing. Another HUGE bonus is that it has reduced the amount of bird poo on my deck and swimming pool by about 95%. Bird poo has been a big problem for us in the past so I researched ways to deter the birds this year. I bought a fake owl which didn't work at all. I read several times that holographic things tend to scare birds away so I thought this windsock might help. I am truly amazed at the results - it has worked wonders! The only drawback (which would not prevent me from buying this again or recommending it to others) is that the windsock ribbons get stuck together whenever it's really humid outside or if it's left out in the rain. As a result, I've simply been making an effort to bring it in if a storm is coming. If I can't get to it in time it's no big deal - the ribbons are easy to pull apart once it's dry and it looks like new again. I highly recommend this product and will likely buy again in the future!

Very flimsy plastic
Package came crushed but product seemed fine. Before I could hang it up, I’d already lost several strands. It does not seem at all durable. It shouldn’t cost eleven dollars. It would not last a storm. If it does repel wildlife, then I’d be willing to keep replacing it. But this would make a lot of plastic pollution.
