These work great and are easy to light, with just a match or electronic match. Other brands that I have tried required the use of a propane torch to get them going, not these. I have a Kamado Big Joe, and if I am cooking something that requires a lot of heat, such as pizzas, I will use three to get the charcoal going. For low and slow cooking, you only need to use one of these. That would be the case when I am cooking ribs or a brisket, where I want the temp to remain around 225 degrees for a prolonged period of time.

Easy to use and catch on fire quick even with flint and steel. These worked great even with it being a bit wet and windy outside and kept a good fire going. Definitely rec

The media could not be loaded. We were camping in NY when we were introduced to these at the camp site. They are awesome and work great. Fast lighting and no mess. Love them, bought them again as a Christmas present for my husband this year to remind him of our trip and to make sure we have to go camping again to use them!

Great fire starter

After successfully building a fire in the fireplace, large logs may burn for a few hours and then just smolder for a long time. Adding a couple firestarters restarts the flames and completes burning the entire log.
