I have multiple cats and despite knowing better, they share a litter box. Couple that with the drinking fountain I got them to increase their water intake, and sometimes their clumps are huge and sometimes they “bond” together to become really heavy. I don’t use that lightweight kitty litter because it’s just cost prohibitive.After having other scoops of varying plastic quality bend, twist, fling litter upwards in the air, and occasionally break... I figured it was time for an upgrade.This thing is basically a shovel and has a nice foam pad handle that doesn’t dig into your skin like the edges of the plastic ones do.The holes/slits are big enough to allow litter to quickly drain but small enough to hold clumps even when they occasionally break apart. It’s sturdy enough to never ever twist or bend.Because I can “dig” deeper and faster, cleaning the litter box takes less time. I recommend this to every cat owner.

I got this in the mail today.If it wasn't crushed I suspect it would have been a 4-5 star review.Nice scoop from all I can see,but last cpl inches were partly crushed and padded handle was all scuffed up and chunking off.So a little unhappy ,but will use it I suppose.EDIT: WELL, I have to say I did get a hold of the seller and showed him the crushed end of the handle and padding all hosed up.We talked a time or two and he sent me a new one.I waited a handful of days,and surprise surprise surprise ! LOL I got two of them.Thank you VERY much Kind Sir :) So now that the issue is solved its my pleasure to say this is a great scoop(minus a few mild improvements on a more personal and disabled level),the handle is great but I think the longer handle for people with weaker wrists might have an issue.Stoked we got this taken care of and I really DIG my new scooper of poop :)

after using cheap plastic scoops for years i finally decided to purchase a decent scoop. After reviewing product recommendations for several different metal scoops i purchased two of these. They arrived promptly and I have been very pleased with them. They are sturdy, have long handles and are very useful for the sometimes sticky messes left by my two large cats. Particularly corners can be a real problem but I have found these scoops to work very well with this issue. Some reviewers expressed concerns regarding the spacing of the holes in the scoops. I am more concerned about loose litter sifting through the holes than I am about removing every tiny clump so this has been a perfect solution.

This scoop is exactly what I wanted!. The longer handle lets me keep my nose further away from smelly litter. It also provides greater leverage. The sifting function works well also. My only caution would be you might find it too large if you have a very small litter box. However it is perfect for a multiple cat very large box. The comfortable handle and sturdy structure could make it handy for multiple other uses as well. Mixing of chemicals for pool use or working additives into planter soil or small raised beds in preparation to planting are two uses that come to mind.

As you see I have a Giant litter box. I can't afford to rent a skid loader to clean the box each day so this scoop is the perfect answer. I've got back issues and other aches and pains, just like most of us and the extra length combined with the sturdy construction makes this a great scoop. One of my two cats is 20+ pounds so you know she eats. Since she eats you know the litter box is something she puts to use. Cleaning it is so much easier. Thanks for a great product.

I like that this is narrower than similar products, only because I use small paper bags (the biggest among paper lunch bags to dispose of my cat's poop, rather than plastic. This one being 1/2" to 1" narrower than other brands allowed me to use these paper bags. I could have gone with the cheap dollar store type plastic ones, but also wanted something non-plastic, and sturdy that would arguably last a lifetime. I'm satisfied.

Wife and I love this scoop since we had to make a litter box out of a storage tote. The space and 3 cats dictated that we needed a tall, narrow, and long litter box. A plastic tote was the only option. That idea also has it's challenges, like cleaning poop. We've bent and broke so many plastic and metal scoops. Most metal ones are short and curved, useless to get to the back of the box. THIS SCOOP IS LONG, STRAIGHT, AND BUILT LIKE A TANK. WE LOVE IT!!

I have three cats. Two large sized LOL. I found that the plastic litter scoopers didn't last...they were either too fragile to scrape the bottom of the box, or sometimes the plastic rungs would fill with wet waste and become impossible to use. Then I found THIS metal scooper. I have one that has a short handle and works pretty good but i needed a longer reach and i found one with this item. It works great and it has a nice cushioned handle that makes grasping it easy for these old hands. So I highly recommend this item.

It is light yet strong....makes getting the wet stuff out of the corners much easier than a plastic one.

Doesn't feel like it could break as we have 2 kitties to clean up after. Holds litter very well.
