🔍 Discover the future of sensing with precision!
The Capacitive Proximity Sensor Switch LJC18A3-B-Z is a high-performance sensor designed for versatile applications. With a detecting distance of 10mm and multiple output modes (NPN/PNP/NC/NO), it ensures precise detection of various materials while maintaining a non-contact operation to prevent damage. Its compact design allows for easy integration, making it ideal for both industrial and commercial use.

Great switch
Works as advertised, good for liquid, or any solid object

Functional and mostly seems to do what is claimed
The media could not be loaded. I'm not giving this 5 stars because the seller does not provide any documentation, and what is provided on the sticker on the side is misleading. However once I figured the thing out, it does work. I simply tested with my finger (as I think this sensor is looking for a capacitive path to a reasonable conductor to ground).Looking at the product page right now, it says this: "DC10-30V,300mA,10mm Detecting Distance". See my photo, the sticker on the side says 200 mA. I would limit current to 200 mA (or lower, if I wanted to be conservative)... with a 300 mA load and a 12 V supply, the output voltage is only 9.3 V, indicating 2.7 across the internal transistor, with 300 mA flowing that means over 800 mW of dissipation in the transistor. Maybe that's ok, but I suspect it would cause a reliability issue.Confusing/misleading is that this is a "PNP", indicating it will pull up the output wire to the positive supply when actuated. The stick shows a switch to ground (Blue), which would be NPN. The PNP normally open unit that I ordered does in fact work that way. The output voltage is zero when nothing is close to the sensor, and it goes to the supply voltage (12 V in my testing) when something in proximity is sensed.
