T-PRO K-Type Thermocouple Wire for Very High Temperature(0-1000℃) Fiberglass (2M Wire)

I got tired of dealing with flaky cheap thermocouples and decided to spend a little more on this model. I'm glad I did as it solved some of my intermittent reading issues. The wires are are much thicker gauge than the cheap stuff and the weld at the end looks nice and solid. Both the hot end and the connector end are nicely finished and the plug has solid pins. The only caution I would give is that the cable is relatively stiff due to the wire gauge and in certain applications that could be an issue.

I used this at 1000 C in air and the insulation still looked great afterwards. The item arrived on time and undamaged.

I needed to calibrate the porcelain furnaces at the dental lab I work at...the thermocouple that came with the digital thermometer was only good up to 1200 degrees and I needed to have the ability to get to 1750 and the 2200 limit on this thermocouple was more than adequate...the fiberglass insulator barely changed color's in the heat looks like I'll be able to use it for a long time... that's good because we have 6 furnaces to keep accurate....10 degrees off makes a big difference in the look of the porcelain teeth...

Has held up to being put in ovens and everything else. Worth the money for a heavier duty one.

It comes with a "large" plug, but that can be removed to expose the leads and you can screw those into your amp plug. It is very robust with no plastic to melt, except on the plug itself. I'm using it to measure temps in a kiln, average of 1000 degrees F. I think it is a little inaccurate because it doesn't agree with my kiln, but I'm not sure that one is perfect either. Hard to say which one is off

I’m a service technician on commercial restaurant equipment. This works perfectly for calibrating high temperature pizza ovens that cook at 550 degrees F. The basic Fluke thermocouple that came with my meter doesn’t survive those temperatures. Drop it in a cup of ice water and it reads 32degrees F just like it should. The quality feels exceptional, its also nice and stiff yet flexable so I can bend it around closed oven doors.

Great product. Durable and accurate and fast response time. Within 1 degree of my Fluke remote probe. I prefer this to the Fluke and will be buying again... I'd still recommend checking for accuracy because maybe I got a good one. Best construction and materials out of every temp probe I've owned.

Wire easily pulled out of the yellow plug when disconnecting from a fieldpiece st4. Disassembled then reattached. Seems it was never really tightened to begin with. Now I notice that I have to jiggle the wires at the plug in order for it to show the temperature. A month after I ordered this one I ordered a second. The newest one is completely different. This one's wires are wrapped in a fiber material where as the newest is wrapped in a metallic sheathing. Anyhow, I'm thinking that I should send this one back for a replacement.
