OEM Motorcraft part
Replaced this thermostat gasket while doing an intake manifold swap and decided to stick with Motorcraft for peace of mind. Fit was spot on and installation went smoothly. Everything lined up perfectly with no leaks or issues. It’s a solid OEM part — you can tell the quality difference compared to some of the aftermarket stuff out there. Engine temps have been right where they should be since the install. If you’re already doing work under the hood, this is a great time to throw one of these in. Genuine part, great fit, no hassle.

It’s a gasket!
A $3 part on Amazon compared to a $8 + part at an auto parts store. Good idea to use a new one instead of trying to reuse an old or damaged one. Once and done! Clean the fitting.

Works fine with Ford thermostat
This worked fine with the Motorcraft thermostat I installed in my '03 E150 van with the 4.6L. Seems a little pricey for an o-ring but I went with it because I would rather get an OEM seal that I know will work than save a few bucks with an aftermarket seal that ends up leaking.

Great quality
Sealed my thermostat well on my 06 explorer. No leaks. Size is good need to stretch it out a bit to fit. Been working for a few weeks now.
