Works great!
Works great! Our dog quickly learned the tone and knows to be on her best behavior as soon as you put it on!

Good trainer
Our first two Goldens just needed brief corrections to stop behavioral problems; a few corrections and the collar was no longer needed - the third (our current) Golden is virtually untrainable and after 3 years the original collar wouldn't hold a charge. Unfortunately we need the collar on our current Golden just to gain some degree of control in the yard and when we're out for walks. The collar works and has good range - it's just ineffective on this current Golden.

Amazing
This is the third collar of this brand and style that I have ordered. It is definitely heavy duty. I use it on my pitbull, and I have also used it on a Great Dane. Just a great collar!

Great that it can expand to 2 dogs
Perfect for training a 2nd dog at the same time. Shock level is stored separately from dog #1 & dog #2. Very quick change from dog #1 to dog #2. Push 1 button. I found the vibration to be totally ignored by my dogs. Useless and unadjustable feature. My old collar, which I could not get a simply replacement strap for had 2 excellent features that this one lacks. No volume control on tone. No immediate +2 shock level for getting the attention of excited or extremely unruly dog behaviors. I.e., chasing a chicken! The old remote is much easier to use with color differentiated buttons. This product is excellent. I would recommend it. Just that some new features and loss of old features are disappointing!

Look Elsewhere!
This is the second PetSafe collar I have bought for my German Shepherd that is around 80Lbs. He is a year and a half old and after moving into a new house without a fenced yard or invisible fence yet, thought it would be good training. The first PetSafe collar I had was the Elite. The only reason I am on to my second is because I misplaced the first one, and later found it under the dog blanket in my car. I loved the first version of this collar I had prior, but after buying the updated newer version I gave the older one to a family member for her golden retriever. When I bought this one in October of 2017 I thought it looked sleek and less bulky than the prior version. When I opened the packaging, the collar felt cheap. I figured it was a good brand, so I’m sure it would hold up and prove me wrong. The prongs did seem a little smaller, and my dog has thick fur around his neck, the shock option didn’t seem to really do anything unless it was at the highest setting and even that was a light shock. He’s a smart dog, and shocking is never my first option and I hardly ever had to shock him. The warning beeps seemed to work best for him anyway. In June I went to unplug the collar from the charger and noticed that the small black portion on the charger had cracked and broke off. Leaving the small metal prong like pieces exposed. I tried to get the black piece out and see if I could reattach it somehow, but it was lodged inside the collar charging spot. It still managed to hold a charge, but I had to carefully hold the charger and make sure it didn’t move at all. If it moved it would fall right out. Also, the little rubber covers that are supposed to cover the charging spots on the collar and remote never stay on. They break right off, So I wouldn’t trust this for being waterproof, if you have a dog that loves the water. Anyway, Fast forward to a month later and the collar got warm and is now completely fried. I haven’t even had this collar a year!! I stuck with the PetSafe brand because the reviews were good, it had the range I wanted, and the prior collar was made a lot better. This was very cheaply made for the cost of this collar and I’m very disappointed!!! I would have purchased the protection plan, but prior reviews said it wasn’t worth it and stuff like this wouldn’t be covered anyway. So, I am now on my third collar and decided to do away with PetSafe. I’m trying the PetPat collar. It feels like it’s made a lot better, and though it may not have the highest range I wanted, So far, it’s wonderful. It even has a vibration setting and the rubber coverings on the charging spots are thicker and almost suction on, made to keep water out. And best part, it was only $50!! So, in conclusion, if you want to spend a lot of money on a poorly made collar, this is for you. I wish I never would have bought this collar, such a waste of money!!

Good Training Tool
Work great - my pup has been trained and now just listens to the beep and doesn’t require a shock! Super easy to use, beep is loud enough, and the remote has been dropped multiple times but is still intact!

It Sure Worked on Mr Toast
These are miracle workers if you have a nervous dog. Little Toast loses his mind at the sight of strangers walking buy, kids on bicycles, golf carts, other dogs, the Amazon delivery truck and so forth. It only took a day of use for him to realize the ‘beep’ sound means to calm down and he stops barking. Now instead of acting aggressive he just runs back to me or my wife if he feels scared. No more barking at everyone during walks.

I've had this collar for about 6 years!
I own and train Service dogs and.... I love love this collar! It's the 2nd collar I ever got my boy and it has been put through the wringer! I did have to replace the collar once though. I even accidentally put the remote through the washer and it didnt even faze it! His first collar is the red petsafe bark collar, which is great for around the house/hotel/in bed. But the remote one I use alllll the time my dog is a service dog so it's used daily. I actually keep it too loose for the shock/vibrate to work because he doesn't need it anymore all I gave to do is beep it and that gets his attention and corrects him (all you have to do is beep before vibrate/shock and after awhile you will only need to beep). Beach tested and approved, Ive taken this collar to the beach on 2 separate trips, once we went to the beach 2 days and the other 7 days and it didn't affect the collar at all, just make sure to rinse the sand out. I have had to replace the little rubber port cover twice and it's hard to do. The battery on this lasts forever as long as you don't over charge it. I feel like I never have to charge it and I use it daily! I tried it on myself (as I do any collar I would put on my boy) and the vibrate tickles but the static is a little more severe so I would test it on your self and becareful not to over use for obvious reasons but also to not desensitize your dog to much from it. The lanyard holes make carrying the remote very versatile because the possibilities of how to attach the remote are endless. *My ONLY suggestions to them would be to make a way to tell how much life is left on the collars battery and make it so the collar doesn't have to be so tight to work (I feel like I'm choking my boy!) Oh and it'd be cool if they could make it so you could use the remote and a phone/watch app on the same collar. Also it would be nice to have a spot to attach a key-ring*
