It's soft and very nice, my cat only likes sitting on the bottom blue part and scratching the post. Probably because the pole wobbles too much to sit on top. I've tried tightening the bolts several times but they won't go any tighter. Wish it was more stable considering the price.Update: I got this only a couple month ago and my cat already ripped up the carpeted part and the actual string from the scratching post is unraveling so half the pole is just wood now. My cat loves scratching this and using the lifesaver to hide under. Just wish it was more affordable to buy a replacement for her...

Pics are of my 2 month old kitten with the Large size toy. Took less than 5 minutes to assemble. Pretty sturdy for a cheap-ish amazon toy. He’s using this as a scratching post instead of the couch so that’s a plus :D

One of my cats pulled the fish off, lol! But yes! It's very sturdy, and the design is terrifyingly cute! Everyone in the family loves it! Definitely recommend! And looking out to see if the company that made this will make other cat furnitures! Because they nailed this one!

My kitten is obsessed with this tree. He’s 2 months and hasn’t stopped playing with it since I set it up. It feels really sturdy and high quality. It’s just as cute in person as it is online.

So my star rating is probably unfair.The material used in this is the same fabric that one of my blankets is, and both of my cats *REFUSE* to be on that blanket (something with the texture I assume)- if you set them down on it they go completely berserk until they get off. Suffice to say, they refuse (for the same reason) to use this. I ended up giving it away to a friend (whose cats really like it).So test your cats on the material (it's like that fake fleece stuff) before you buy this.

It is very soft and comfy for the cats. Not too tall so it works for kittens as well. The base is sturdy enough that it doesn't tip when the cats scratch on it. 10/10 would recommend.
