Marvelous Transforming Toys: With complete instructions and plans Paperback – October 15, 2000

I like it when there is a LOOK INSIDE! available. I use it to check to see where the book is made. In this case the LOOK INSIDE! indicates that the book is "Printed in the United States of America". However, when my book arrived, I opened it up and found "Printed in China". Needless to say, I am quite disappointed! To me, this is false advertising. I was counting on the LOOK INSIDE! feature to be accurate. Now, I can no longer trust it. Other than that the book is probably OK. I haven't built anything yet, so I can't comment on the accuracy of it's contents. I did notice that the pictures show a metal push stick near the table saw blade. I would rather use something softer near the blade. If the metal push stick happens to slip and hit the blade, you can only imagine what might happen.

The toys in this book are very unique. They can be set up in many different ways. Constructing them requires an extra measure of precision woodworking, as there are so many directions and positions that the pieces must fit. There is advice on the means to get this precise drilling accomplished and it should be followed if the toy is to work as designed. Some of the toys I made as single items with no positioning options, and they work just as well toward thrilling the youngsters. This is a challenging idea, and fun to work.

this book arrived in a timely manner and are in good shape. I haven't made use olf it yet as I haven't had it long enough to make anything but it looks very interesting.

Good, not great book. Great idea, reusing chassis to build different vehicles. Some of the shapes are a bit clunky, but overall, a good addition to our library of toy plans.

Would have liked the measurments in mm and cm 🙄 . Took some time to convert , but i am very satisfied. Thanks !

Haven't built anything yet, but am intrigued by some of the designs.

Of all the wooden toy books I have this is by far the one I like best it is just a thrill to make this toys

I have only had a chance to flick through this book. So far I'm pleased, but I haven't built anything yet.

Bit advanced for me will need a lot of patience

found this book interesting but as yet have not made any of the toys but i hope to do so soon good detail in plans and clearly written
