I use a Mac Mini with a satechi hub and needed something short, reliable, fast, etc etc.Everything perfect after 2 years of use.If you are looking for an aesthetic desktop with no long cables flying all over the place, the length is amazing.And you dont need tech expertise. Plug and play immediately out of the bag.Recommended.

Cables are well made and worked fine. The cable ends were able to plug through my Android phone case.

I like a wired mouse for use w/ my laptop. This very flexible cable solved a problem I was having.The wired mouse I like has a usb-c connection. The plug on the mouse is metal & about an inch long. Occasionally, I would get the cord caught when I moved the laptop. Once the tension on the cord bent the metal plug & rendered the mouse useless - Goodbye $20 mouse.So I bought this short , flexible extension. The rigid part is only about 1/8 inch long & if I get the cord caught it most probably will not bend at the connection to the laptop & even if it does & have not ruined my mouse.It also seems like a very good, tight connection with good response.

The performance of these cables is very good -- certainly as advertised. But depth of the female end is very shallow and had to be "just so" on some connections. The two cables behaved differently and I learned what "just so" meant for each one. But I've been through a bunch of these cables and have had much better luck with these.

Right out of the bag they do not work at all. One makes even simple devices like mice flicker rapidly and continuously reconnect. The other does not even let the device turn on, charge, or talk to the host. Bad quality control if these were not tested.

I wanted to use these flat 5" cables as a tidy connector from my 2023 Macbook Pro to an ssd drive that I tuck into a pouch that is glued to the lid of the laptop. Unfortunately, they are just a bit too short for that use (like, an inch too short at most). If your ports are closer to the back of your laptop and you glue your drive pouch to the closest corner of the lid, they might work for you. They seem to reach their rated 40mbps speed (fastest available, per the USB4/TB3/TB4 standards), AND they support 240 watt power delivery, so I have plenty of other tasks they will be perfect for, from using as a short power cord for my power supply, to serving as a short cable that can keep up with even my very fastest external ssd.

My daughter had one of those 2-in-1 laptops and the monitor stopped working. Well it works sporadically, but clearly there is something wrong with the cable that runs through the hinge connecting the monitor to the computer. The computer was significantly newer than the computer my husband was using so he took the laptop and bought a portable monitor to sit on top of the original display. He had been using a 1 meter cable to connect the monitor to the laptop which I think is crazy. I bought this cable and it works great.. It connects the portable monitor to the thunderbolt port in the laptop.

I use 2 of these with my portable monitor, Pixel 8, and a battery pack to watch shows on a bigger screen while traveling for work or when the wife and I just want to enjoy being outside but still have something on. Yeah yeah... a tablet would work but I already have to pack the screen and my phone regardless so this works better for me. The cables are short and SUPER flexible in their 'flat' direction so they work nicely for things stacked on eachother.
