Really great game for therapy!
I’m very particular about the games that use in my child therapy practice. This one is terrific. I would say it is most appropriate for ages 8-12, but if you explain the cards in an age appropriate way, could work for younger. The game keeps the kids engaged for a good 20 to 30 minutes. They love it and love switching characters, as that is part of the game. It’s an adorable game where no one wins. It’s really fun to do the feelings tree where everyone closes their eyes, and on the count of three you open your eyes and everyone acts out a certain emotion. You also draw cards and a lot of the times you do a yoga pose for 30 seconds. Other times you say what a character should do to help itself feel better. The characters are adorable and it’s the most high-quality board game I have. I am used to having to return therapy board games to Amazon, because I’m so particular. This one’s a winner.

Great quality, fun game for age 5+, needs better instructions
I played this game with my 11yo and 9yo daughters and they enjoyed it. I think it's a great game for getting children to think about different emotions and how they might react in different situations. While the box says it's for ages 3+, I think a more accurate age range might be 5-12. The action cards with yoga-style stretches might be doable for a preschooler, but the discussion cards likely wouldn't. They were a challenge even for my 9yo. My main issue and the reason I dropped 1 star from my rating is that the instructions weren't clear on what to do once a player hung their piece on the tree. It said to play another character, but it wasn't clear what to do if there are no other characters to play. And it also wasn't clear about whether to restart the original character.

Wonderful cooperative game!
Great cooperative game that’s simple enough for a 3 year old to play yet engaging enough to not bore parents (at least the first couple rounds!). Thoughtful prompts on the playing card mixed in with some yoga movements to get the wiggles out. Overall a really thoughtful game!

Such a hit!
My 6 yo loves this game! We love our Slumberkins and the stories and kin’s/snugglers so this was just the best gift! My 4 yo sort of plays along as well, I think she’ll appreciate it more soon!

Favorite board game!
What I love:- the colors and aesthetics of this board game are perfect, exactly what I love: pastels, easy to read font in a great size, with lots of variety.- gameplay is great and has everything young children like to stay interesting: movement (of pieces), drawing cards with an action (physical or verbal), and spinning a spinner. And then when you get to the end of the path with your animal, you get the satisfaction of flipping over a piece and hanging it on the tree! My 3 year old loves this gameplay loop.- there is a lot of variety with the challenge and bonus cards. Sometimes you'll do positive affirmations, other times you'll have to copy a pose or describe a time you felt a certain way (with an example), but they are all different and unique.- Easy to adapt rules for smaller kids, while still having room to grow/age. We simplify a lot of the cards, like holding a pose for 10 seconds instead of 30—having her count the time—shortening the positive affirmations down to one easy to repeat sentence, and inventing a story for why the animal feels a certain way, since she doesn't understand how to find an example from her life yet. See what I mean about great growing potential?- Incredible quality! I am so impressed by the quality of this product. The cards are thick and not easy to bend, the animals are wooden and printed on both sides, the tree is sturdy, and there isn't a single blemish on any of it. The only thing I've found is the spinner is a little bent or concaved? I have this issue a lot with every game, trying to get any of them to lay completely flat is a challenge.- easy to play this with non-readers as long as you adjust the rules a bit and are willing to read the cards for them.Things to consider:- there are two purple-ish colors that are a bit too similar in color, at least for my eyes. Not a huge deal, though. All the cards and pieces also have the animal on it, so the colors don't really matter.- I'm still a little confused on the rules, which I've included a picture of (it's on the bottom of the top box cover so you won't lose or rip them!!). I don't really understand the turn order? She likes to pick an animal and see it through to the end of the path, so that's what we do. I'm not sure if that's right because I'm not fully comprehending how the Bonus Turns work. It's fine though because I don't mind altering for what works for us.Overall thoughts:This is SUCH an important game to have because it teaches feelings and builds self-esteem and confidence and teaches working together (because it's cooperative). I recommend this to every parent of small to elementary school-aged kids. The lessons learned here are essential and this is executed almost perfectly, aside from the not completely flat spinner and the somewhat confusing turn instructions.I love this game so much and am passionate about the material and cannot stress enough how awesome this is for helping your child develop into an emotionally intelligent human. And this also still has a lot of physical activity, so it is easier for small kids to get through! That and the game time seems basically perfect. The way we play only takes about 15 minutes. If you get any board game for your kid, this should be it!
