I've used this lens on the Canon 100D and also the M10 with adapter so far. With the M10, I had some excellent results, using focus peaking to help achieve great focus, even at the maximum 2 x macro with live insects etc. Really, I found the best way to use it was to set the lens settings 1st then move the camera in/out to the subject watching the peaking on the screen. Surprisingly, I found the M10 easier to get good results than the 100D. The flip screen of the M10 really helped with this as you can approach your small subject from a number of angles. I already have 2 other macro capable lenses (Sigma 105mm x1 and Sigma 70-300mm x.5), but this Oshiro is now my overwhelming favourite. Great quality, well built & sharp results. For the price, it is extremely good value, and really has me interested in the other Oshiro lenses on amazon.

Metal construction 2:1 macro lens that focuses right up to infinity. Takes practice to nail focus, but once you do it's very sharp indeed. No stabilisation, best with tripod. Focus and f-stop rings stiff on my copy, but should loosen with time. A joy to use once you've had sufficient practice, tho beginners to the genre may struggle

I can't stress how good this lens is! Sure you can spend a lot of money on a Canon lens with all the bells and whistles, with auto-focus and then spend more money on macro rings etc... But the quality with this lens coupled with a cheap ring flash, produces amazing results for the price! Build quality is solid and optically its great! The only down side to this lens is that you have to get very close to the subject and manually focus. It's quite simple though when you get used to it, using the lean-in method and taking rapid fire shots. To be honest to get the best results with macro lens is to manually focus anyway! If you buy this you won't be disappointed!

I am an experienced macro photographer and decided to see how this lens performs as it is amazingly cheap. Can only say I'm very pleased with the results. Very sharp shots, colour/contrast are fine and has wonderful bokeh when opened up.I have no idea what the relationship of this lens is to the very similar Laowa lens but I'd be surprised if the Laowa lens is optically any better. Build quality is good. The focus/magnification ring is perhaps not as smooth as it could be. The aperture control is stepless.

Mechanically mediocre, optically great - sharp and powerful.

Arrived before the date i expected, nice packing, great lenses, still getting use with it, i really think is well worth the investment!

Being a beginner in macro photography, i fully enjoyed using this lens. The image quality is good. Fairly easy to use. Complete manual lens, hence focusing is bit tricky.
