Supports many off road orientated modifications. Nothing in extreme detail but points you in the right direction for novice wheelers; All useful info. The focus is mainly on the CJs with some info about the TJ and XJ

The book is fantastic for anyone looking to build up a short wheel base Jeep. It's not a step by step guide on modifications but supplies you with a wealth of technical knowledge and background to help you making the right choices for your particular build situation. The author delivers well on every aspect of a build up project by connecting all the pieces in ways even a seasoned backyard builder may not be aware of.I'd say CJ, YJ, TJ, and JK owners will get the most out of this book because it does focus on short wheel base Jeeps but there's plenty of info on longer wheel base models as well.

Tons of great information. A world of knowledge packed in one book. Geared towards older Jeep models, such as CJ, YJ and TJ.

I am learning a bunch from this book. Stuff like I bought the wrong Jeep, my suspension is all wrong, and I am not really very good at this hobby yet. The author is informative organized and has a way of saying things that makes me believe he is really trying to save us a lot of pain. Buy this book before you buy the Jeep.

Great ref to have around the house. Of course it dosen't go into detail as far as actually performing the "upgrades", but does provide ideas and points you in the right direction. Common issues (i.e., death wobble, bumpsteer) are addressed. A lot of great "Deep Tech" and specifications. It does focus on CJ, Wrangler, and Cherokee's. I was impressed that KJ and other vichicle's IFS was mentioned.

All three books I ordered were very informative. They gave me some good ideas of goals to set for what I want to achieve, and set me straight on some misconceptions I had.

As with any current Jeep book that has been on the market for a while and has been reviewed for newer Jeep model information.....info on the newest Wrangler, the coil sprung TJ, is slim at best. Info on the Grand Cherokee almost non existent, except in the listing of OEM parts. Therefore it is only three stars for any YJ/TJ owner...As always, a great book for CJ owners!!! 5 stars for CJ readers.

Great book but if you have the previus issue you don't need this one. I did that mistake to think this was a "new" book.
